Module 2-5 Assignment: Writing Notes Southern New Hampshire University ENG-123: English Composition II Biju John May 14, 2023 1. Describe the  argument  to be addressed in your persuasive essay. Explain how the argument relates to your major, the major you are considering pursuing, or your field of work. A. Make certain your topic is debatable. Are you able to see at least two perspectives to this argument? The subject is debatable. We must preserve the jobs in the United States. Outsourcing jobs can have severe implications for employees. Workers may lose employment as corporations relocate operations offshore or hire cheaper foreign labor. This has the potential to contribute to increasing unemployment and economic uncertainty. Outsourcing jobs might result in job loss, diminished job security, and deterioration of working conditions for some employees. Furthermore, outsourced jobs may be of poorer quality compared to in-house jobs, with lower compensation and fewer perks. Outsourcing can also create language and cultural obstacles, making it harder for employees to communicate and interact with their colleagues on the other side. The second perspective is from a business point of view; Outsourcing jobs can provide
various benefits for businesses. It has the potential to reduce labor costs, boost efficiency, and provide access to a worldwide talent pool. Outsourcing jobs can also enable companies to focus on their core capabilities while delegating non-core functions to third-party providers. Outsourcing customer service, for example, can assist firms in providing 24/7 support without having to invest in additional employees and infrastructure. 2. Identify the potential challenges you may encounter in supporting your argument with specific audience . A. First, state the audience you will be writing to. The leadership team that companies in the United States currently employ is the audience I would like to target. B. Then address the challenges of supporting your argument with this audience. The most significant difficulty is persuading the executive management team not to eliminate positions or outsource work to another nation. I must make a compelling business case outlining the risks and expenses of employment cutbacks and providing alternatives.
3. Establish a  goal  that you hope to accomplish with this essay. What will this essay need to successfully meet your goal? This article aims to express my opposition to employment outsourcing to another country. In my case, I am studying Data Analytics at SNHU, and corporations are already hiring from third-world nations for this position. 4. Determine three  key points  that will help support your argument. A. Employee Morale - When a corporation chooses not to lay off people, it conveys stability and support. This can help to enhance morale and increase employee loyalty. Employees who believe their jobs are secure are more likely to be productive, engaged, and committed to the company's success. On the other hand, companies that constantly cut positions may foster a culture of fear and uncertainty, which can contribute to low morale and high turnover rates. B. Long-term costs - While job cuts may result in short-term cost reductions, they may also result in long-term expenditures for the organization. Companies, for example, may need to invest more in recruitment and training to replace lost skills. Furthermore, job losses can harm the company's reputation and brand image, resulting in less consumer loyalty and sales. Companies can retain a stable workforce and protect their reputation by avoiding job layoffs, leading to long- term cost savings and greater profitability. C. Corporate Social Responsibility - Companies should examine the societal consequences of their decisions. Job losses can have a substantial influence on the local economy as well as the lives of those impacted. Companies can demonstrate

their commitment to corporate social responsibility and contribute to the well- being of their communities by refusing to slash jobs. This can aid in developing healthy connections with stakeholders and enhancing the company's reputation as a responsible corporate citizen. 5. Provide a brief description of at least two  resources that support  the key points of your argument. A. First, list the authors and titles of each resource. These resources may be books or articles you identified in a previous assignment. 1. Messmer, Max., Boosting Employee Productivity on a Tight Budget. 2. Sigamoney, Claudia., Attwarie, Nadir.,Deke, Augustine., The Impact of Mergers and Acquisitions on Employee Morale: An Evaluation of H&K Networks in South Africa. B. Then provide a brief description of how each resource may reinforce your argument. 1. The first research article offers suggestions for improving staff morale and productivity during business reorganizations and cutbacks. 2. The second research article talks about how most mergers have prioritized economic and political uncertainty over employee morale and wellness during the transition period to maximize business profitability. 6. Explain how you plan to effectively  integrate evidence  in the essay.
I intend to first state my position before incorporating evidence into my article in an efficient manner. Second, I'll give the proof I gathered to support my assertion. Finally, I'll explain in more depth, in terms that my audience will understand, how and why my evidence supports my position.
