EDUC 672 Abstract This assignment entails the development of a meticulously structured Pacing Guide for one semester, specifically designed for a single grade level. The Pacing Guide serves as a detailed roadmap, encompassing a complete 18-week educational plan, accounting for two 9-week periods or half of a school year. The primary objective is to outline the daily teaching schedule of a set of standards, whether they are national, state, or other published standards, while ensuring coherence, progression, and adaptability. In constructing this Pacing Guide, considerations include not only the delivery of instructional content but also provisions for pre- and post- assessments. Furthermore, it considers school holidays and incorporates "flexible time" to accommodate unforeseen disruptions such as school events or inclement weather days. Crucially, the design of the Pacing Guide necessitates a logical sequencing of skills, with each building upon the preceding ones, and adherence to chronological order. This ensures that the educational content is not only comprehensive but also logically structured to facilitate effective student learning. To underpin this assignment, a minimum of two references in current APA format will be incorporated to provide support for the decisions made in the Pacing Guide's development.
