In this era, we seem to lose value of what is important and what is not. Abortion is a topic
that is taken lightly by the new generations as they do not value life as people did before. Abortion is an option to end a pregnancy whether it is because it is unwanted or because of medical issues. In recent poles it shows that these new generations are more likely to choose abortion than to have their life interrupted with a child.

This has been a debate that has been taken to court and many laws have been implemented as to who can proceed with ending their pregnancy and what stage. Abortion should not be legalized in the United States if there are no health issues with the mother or child as it can be seen as going against God’s will, consequences, and because there is alternate options. In today's communities the Catholic Hospitals are trying to take over the healthcare industry. In the article “Think abortions are easier to get now? Think again.: As state law eases restrictions, expanding Catholic hospital chains limit access” by Stephanie Goldberg she explains
how hospitals in Illinois are expanding and due to their religious beliefs, they do not offer abortions. “Despite a new law enshrining reproductive health care as a "fundamental right" in Illinois, hospital industry trends are restricting the availability of contraception, sterilization and abortion” (Goldberg 1). This is a way the Catholic community can try to stall or prevent their followers from pursuing abortion. However, they are not helping females from getting pregnant and have to come to this choice. have an abortion as they believe having a child is God’s will. Since the state of Illinois has more Catholic Hospitals women are searching for alternate assistance to prevent getting pregnant and are going against their religious beliefs. However, if these Catholic chains continue to increase women will not have the option to have an abortion and a child must be born. “Women of color in the county have even fewer options: 85 percent of black and Hispanic women were enrolled in
one of the five plans with a heavily Catholic network, compared with 75 percent of white women, the study finds” (Goldberg 1). Women who are in Medicaid are more likely to be assigned to these Catholic hospitals and because they are low income, they have less access to abortion clinics that are covered by their insurance. This religion is deciding for them what they can do or not do if they are part of the network. Which brings them back to their moral beliefs as they should not be sexually active if they are not married. If they obeyed the Catholic beliefs, they would not have the problem of worrying of getting pregnant out of wedlock or not wanting to have children. When abortion is an option for a woman, they must consider the consequences as they can be life changing. For example, a woman may decide to have an abortion because they are not ready for a child, but the procedure can make them infertile. “Infertility may result when surgical abortion leads to endometritis or is complicated by heavy bleeding, perforation or incomplete removal of pregnancy tissue” (Harvard Health). This can not only harm physical damage but also emotional damage. In the future when this female is ready to have a family the previous abortion can prevent her from doing so. Also, this can cause tension in a relationship if her partner wants to have a family and she is not able to provide that. That is why it is better to just go through with the pregnancy and if the child is not wanted or came at a bad time, she can give it up for adoption.

Seeking resolutions to problems can always open doors. That is why there are so many options one can take when they have an unwanted pregnancy. “The fact that some consciences are being awakened to recognize the tragedy of abortion is an opportunity for pro-lifers to broaden the circle of those who are willing to support pregnant women and be concerned for unborn children.” (The Tragedy of Abortion). However, there is wrought to be done and these pro-life activist as women in this situation are vulnerable and scared of these life changing events
they are going through. “Legislative efforts to defeat and reverse these laws should be paired with opportunities to reach across the aisle and work for reforms that will help expectant parents and make it easier for them to choose to bring their children into the world” (The Tragedy of Abortion). If these issues are brought to light more people can seek alternate choices versus abortion. People who wish to have children and cannot have the opportunity to adopt these children. Furthermore, people should see that taking the life of someone is not fair and by legislation just standing by and doing nothing they are not helping the situation. Being in an unwanted pregnancy can feel like the world is falling on you but it does not have to be that way. Women need to research and seek help to give their child an opportunity to live. Whether it be with them or another family that will care for them. I do not believe that abortion should not be legalized in the United States if there is no health issues with the mother or the child .It can also be seeing as going against the relion.Furthermore they can have life changing consequences that can affect there health or having a family in the future.Lastly there are always alternate options and resolutions to any problem.
