Once a donkey was walking in the forest feeling quite contented and happy with himself. A wolf, sitting under a tree, saw the donkey. “Ah! I’ll eat him,” thought the wolf and started walking towards the donkey. The donkey, too, saw the wolf and thought to himself. “Now, the wolf is going to kill me and eat me.” So the donkey thought of a plan. The donkey began to limp. The wolf came up to the donkey and asked him, “What is the matter? Why are you limping?”

The wolf thought, “He is a foolish donkey. I can easily bite his leg when I bend down to remove the thorn.”
