Report
1. Examine the Research Proposal Memo (WA#1) instructions. What permission must you request? To whom should your memo be addressed? What information about your research must you provide? Write at least five complete sentences. I must request permission to use the topic that I chosen. I will need to reach out to the professor approval to go with the topic. My memo should be addressed to the decision maker for what I am proposing. Such as if I want something changed in my department, I would address my memo to my manager. In my memo I must address the problem and why it needs investigated. I need to back my research with findings and the benefits of what the change would help the workplace. 2. Examine the Synthesis Lit Review (WA#2) instructions. This assignment calls for the student writer to use scholarly (academic) and professional (trade) sources. Explain what you understand a scholarly source and a professional/trade source to be. You should consider offering an example of each type of source. Write at least five complete sentences. Scholarly sources are journals and articles written by students which are published in the university's library. Professional sources are sources that is written by someone who had creditability. Something that shows facts and not opinions and backs up their written with sources that agrees with their stance. This can be by someone well known by the public or a publisher that is well established. For example, New York Times. Looking for reliable sources to use for my research paper may be a little difficult, but with the help of our library, it will make it easier to find some credible sources to use for my paper. 3. Take a look at the Research Report (WA#3) instructions. What additional research demands are placed upon the writer for this assignment compared to WA #2? How can you as writer best present your report so that it is most readily
accessible for your primary audience? Write at least five complete sentences.
