Describe the Argument
The central argument of my persuasive essay is that persuasive writing is a critical skill
for computer science professionals. This skill is essential for articulating complex
technical concepts to a diverse audience, writing effective research papers, and crafting
compelling grant proposals. As a Computer Science major, I recognize that the ability to
communicate effectively can distinguish a good technical expert from a great one.

This topic is debatable because there's a common assumption in STEM fields that
technical skills should take precedence over soft skills like writing. However,
persuasive writing is crucial for advocacy, explaining the significance of projects,

is equally important for career advancement and industry innovation (Kay, 2011;
