A film can fit into more than one genre, but there are some genres that are more general than others. Within each genre, there are also specific characteristics that help support themes and story lines within that genre. This particular shot was a three minute continuous shot taken with a camera on a 300ft dolly track. The actors and actresses in this film did a remarkable job in playing their roles. The Hunger Games: Book vs. Movie Essay examples The Hunger Games, the introductory novel in a trilogy book series written by author Suzanne Collins in 2008, is a young adult novel that surrounds a teenage girl named Katniss Everdeen in a futuristic tale of a teenager who defies all odds when they are stacked against her. Madge is described as one of the few people that Katniss is semi–friendly with; otherwise she is described as a loner who only has time to do what she has to do to take care of her family. This comes as a surprise to Katniss, who had assumed that Madge disliked her. This is an important piece of the book because in the movie, Katniss finds the same Mockingjay pin at the local flea market, and it is given to her by the owner, a woman named Greasy Sae. The significance of the pin is never explained in the movie, and viewers are left wondering if it will play an important role later on in the film. The director and author make many subtle, yet evident changes between the novel and film, which can only be noticed if one reads the novel and views the movie. However, those that have are left questioning why the changes were made, and what to expect next. The car ride home from Port Angeles is another scene where the movie's timeline differs from the book. During the car ride Bella tells Edward her theories about him (Meyers 161). Her theories are built on the story she learned from an old tribe legend Jacob told her when they meet on the beach, revealing that she knows Edward is a vampire (183). This begins a new period in their relationship, where they trade off days asking one another questions about everything. Movie Theater Experience Experiencing Film in Theaters Watching movies is probably one of my favorite activities, it does not matter if the movie good or bad; I just want to watch them. I loved going to the theaters as a kid because the entire experience was always so exciting, especially since it was the first thing my mother let me do out on my own. Going to the movies had always been a blessing but as I have grown I have made an effort to go less often. While the experience is still the same I just notice just how bad the overall experience can be as well. Honestly, the best part of watching a movie in theaters is the movie theater experience; for example the seats, the popcorn , the large screen, the sound system, the people, and the new releases. It is not just you in your room watching a movie, it is you reacting to the film and to the people around you around you as well, all the while getting all these over the top elements as well. Movie going takes a common experience and amplifies it so it feels like you're getting something even greater. Plus, my favorite part for any film has always been the trailers; the exciting bits and pieces of coming films thrown together to entice future visits. With fast paced action and cliffhanging details that are thrown in the 2–3 minute time frame, I am left wanting to come back and see that movie when it comes out. Essay about The Impossible: Movie Analysis I've seen this movie and I would like to give my opinion about it. The impossible is a movie based on a true story. This story is about a family, Maria, Henry and their three sons Lucas, Thomas and Simon. They went on Christmas vacations to Thailand but after a few days the Indian Ocean earthquake created a tsunami that flooded the area with overwhelming destructive power. As the tsunami hit the hotel where they were staying at, everything disappeared. Maria was underwater for about 3 minutes and after she surfaced and clung on a tree she noticed that Lucas was going away with the currency of the water. Henry had to leave his two little boys to search for Maria and Lucas and Maria despite she was injured she fought for her life and was always worried about Lucas. The scene where I got goosebumps and I liked the most was when Lucas, Thomas and Simon reunited with their dad. I liked the part where Lucas held Maria's hand and told her that Daniel was with his dad and that he looked very happy. I didn't like the part were Thomas and Simon were sent away with the rest of the kids that were alone even though Henry had to leave them so it could be easier for him to look for Maria and Lucas I think it was a very hard decision because he didn't really know what could had happened to them.
