Determine what type of Wi-Fi (802.11x) your computer supports and list it here. Then, explain what type of wireless router you would need to make the most out of your computer. Hello professor and class, To determine the type of Wi-Fi my computer is using I went into settings and toggled to Network & internet then clicked the Wi-Fi button and selected properties. My current at home Wi-Fi is using protocol 802.11ac. Upon doing a little research I found that the recommended router to get the most out of my computer would be a mesh dual band router. The reasoning behind this is that it covers a larger surface area, uses Internet Protocol Version 6, and causes less interference with other transmissions. Currently I have a Gigabit mesh router that gives me a link speed of 433/433 (Mbps) between receiving and transmitting. References Pulkitagarwal03pulkit. (2022, July 31).
