I honestly do not know a ton about Operating System Configuration and Support. I want to become confident in my skills through this class. I want to understand operating systems better and in more detail. Overall my goal is to become a successful IT professional. As of right now I am in my second year of Information Technology, and I have a lot left to learn. (http Alejandra Gonzalez (https://learn.maricopa.edu/courses/1310100/users/3937420) Sep 16, 2023 Hello Jenna! Im also taking this course for the bachelors in iT. How has it been going so far with the courses? I just started this summer and so far its going great this class so far is going great. Ive been trying to stay ahead of my classes so if I have any trouble in any of the weeks to come ill be ahead and hopefully won't back track. I'm not an expert when it comes to technology but hope to become one soon! (https:// Ashley Endriss (https://learn.maricopa.edu/courses/1310100/users/3254961) Sep 13, 2023 I am taking this course to work towards the goal of completing my bachelor's degree with MCCCD. I am looking forward to learning more about operating systems, peripherals, and client virtualization. I hope to be able to leverage this knowledge in my current career path, and eventually advance my career to the next level once I have completed the information technology program. (http Jenna Holbura (https://learn.maricopa.edu/courses/1310100/users/4209453) Sep 21, 2023 Hello Ashley, we have a similar path ahead of us for this course and our education. I am also working to complete my bachelor's in information technology. It is perfect timing that Maricopa Community College now offers a bachelor's program! It is significantly more affordable than traditional universities. I am grateful to have found the program at a community college. Good luck with your educational journey.

Right now I am saying I may know all about technology but I know for sure going through this course and training I will be learning new things that I may not know yet. I will be learning with all my classmates. I've been working with SMCC Tech Support since 2015. So I have been learning there and I will learn new things here as well. (http Micah Galvan (https://learn.maricopa.edu/courses/1310100/users/3941514) Sep 14, 2023 Hello David, I think it's great that your studying ITIL and working on your Bachelor's Degree. I know a little bit about ITIL, but I heard that in order to manage IT services over the whole service lifecycle, ITIL is a framework. (http Alejandra Gonzalez (https://learn.maricopa.edu/courses/1310100/users/3937420) Sep 16, 2023 Hello David! I attended SMCC nd it was such a great school. All the schools from the district but I seen that Phoenix college had a bachelors program for information technology and thought it would be great to start as soon a possible. I'm very determined and I couldn't wait till fall so started in the summer taking two classes. This semester I'm taking 4 so I know there will be more work to get done. With so much to learn I hope I will come with new knowledge for next semester! I don't know much about Operating System Configuration and Support, but I'll be willing to learn about this course. What I plan to do with this knowledge is learning so many new things in computers, including Operating System Configuration and Support because Computer skills has a big impact on personal development, professional advancement, and job chances. I heard (https://www.devry.edu/blog/13-web-developer-skills-you- should-have.html) that you need to learn so many skills when it comes to be a Web Developer, such as Program frameworks, Testing and Debugging, and Communication Skills because their more likely to work on the user experience side of this process, making decisions about page styles, colors, images, type font selection and other details. With the advent of technology, web development is always changing. Even though we might not be able to notice this every day, it's simple for us to look back and notice how things have changed. (http Jorge Vega (https://learn.maricopa.edu/courses/1310100/users/1275795) Sep 20, 2023 Again, thank you all for your Posts and Replies. All of them are great. Here is another example of a "Substantive" reply. When I read your Replies and your content seems to be helpful to all students and there is a Reference link , it is easy for me to grade it with the full marks of substantive.

Web development and design is a fantastic field to get into. There is so much growth and demand for the field. For anyone who is interested in following the same path, check out this site I found. It shows some of the different paths you can follow in this field. It also tells you that most students who get a degree in Web Development and Design also go into Information Technology above any other field. I want to learn more about how computers work and how to correct common problems. I want to go into programming if I am able, so the more that I know about how computers work, the better I can write code to interact with them. If I don't go into programming, this information is still useful to me in the long run.

I currently hoping to go for the CompTIA A+ exam after the completion of this course as well. I recommend you look at the Exam Objectives, we go over tons of useful information, but not all of it is in the exam. Discerning what will be on the exam has made previous exams easier to study for. Good Luck the this course and the Exam. (http Jesse Aguirre Delgado ( He/Him ) (https://learn.maricopa.edu/courses/1310100/users/4052073) Sep 24, 2023 Hi Zachary! I am also taking this course in preparation for the CompTIA A+ exam and took BPC170 in the summer. It is undoubtedly a lot of knowledge to familiarize yourself with and retain, so I am nervous about taking the exam after this course. Before my BPC170 course started this summer, I decided I wanted to see what I could expect from the exam. I stumbled upon two channels on YouTube that help prepare you for the CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certification exams and even for the Cisco CCNA certification exam. NetworkChuck (https://youtube.com/@NetworkChuck) helps with CompTIA Security+ and Cisco CCNA training, and Professor Messer (https://www.youtube.com/@ProfessorMesser) helps with CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ training. I still watch their videos even now to add to what I am learning in class, and I find that it really helps—wishing us both luck for once we do take the exams! With this course plan I am planning to get my associates in 2025 and then later my bachelors. I do have a decent understanding in operating system, but I will admit that my MACOS and Linux knowledge could use some dusting since I do not use them as frequent. I want to become a stronger member on my team and taking classes like these will help me reach that goal.

I want to be able to pass the A+ Exam and not only know how and what I am using in an IT environment, but Terms and deeper knowledge as well. I already have an associate's in Cybersecurity and hope to get a bachelor's in information technology. I am currently looking for a part-time job and I expect it to be Help Desk related, A+ skills easily Translate from what I heard.

The bachelor's program has been a major driving factor for so many students enrolled in this class. Its great that you have a basic understanding of tech, that definitely helps when taking online classes. Given that you already have a degree in cybersecurity I am sure this course will just build on the foundational information you have already learned.
