Shirt was blue, and fit him well. His shirt was always blue, Sam knew. All the children in school had a blue shirt, except when it rained. When it rained, Sam wore a blue sweat shirt. Jareth was constantly missing. Silly Jareth Sitting in the back of the church bus, Sam wondered why he always skipped school. He even missed his birthday, which was when everyone took turns skipping school. It wasn’t as if Sam was a full-time bum. He got up early sometimes, to take the mail out to the dumpster. Lots and lots of trash. It seemed like he was always skipping school. The Brocktons had four children, and Sam was one of them. When Sam was born, his name was William, but over the years, because of the red dye in the rice cement, he was called Sammy. Living at the Brocktons, Sam seemed to have the most attention, kids picked on him, but he was tolerated. They would all be fine someday. Over the years, Sam came to know 99% of his family. They were all ordinaryNamed Sam and a 3 month old baby girl named Hannah. They were to be brother and sister, and everyone said so. Sam had the big blue eyes, Hannah had the big brown eyes, and everyone in the family was happy. Well, not everyone. One morning, as Sam was getting ready for school, he got a call on the cell phone. It was his best friend Jareth. Jareth was not glad to see Sam, because he was about 200 pounds heavier than Sam but Samantha Sam didn’t bother him. Jareth was also pink, with brown hair that was chin-length, and blue-teeth. He had very handsome ears and hands, but were almost as long as his arms. Priceless And except Sam, everyone knew someone like Sam. Except Samantha Sam was perfect. Sam’s blue eyes were so blue they almost seemed to have personalities. Sam’s eyes reflected three faces…a perfect smile that would disappear forever if he smiled half as much as his father, a sad look when Sam’s mother was in despair, and a very sincere gaze in his brown eyes. In a car's transmission system, what is the component that allows the driver to manually select gears, typically found in manual transmissions? a) Clutch b) Transmission control module c) Gear lever d) Flywheel 2. What is the term for the study of the origins and evolution of the universe, including the Big Bang theory? a) Cosmology b) Astrobiology c) Stellar astronomy d) Exoplanetology
3 . The field of economics seeks to understand the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. One fundamental concept in economics is the law of supply and demand, which explains how price is determined by the interaction of these two forces. When demand for a good or service increases, what happens to its price? a) It remains constant. b) It decreases. c) It increases. d) It becomes unpredictable. 4. A quantitative study found that participants who ate a Mediterranean diet had a lower risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD), compared to a control group who did not eat a Mediterranean diet. The study also found that the Mediterranean diet was effective in reducing the participants' cholesterol levels and blood pressure. Which of the following is the best conclusion that can be drawn from this study? a) A Mediterranean diet is an effective way to reduce the risk of CVD. b) A Mediterranean diet is safe and effective for all populations. c) A Mediterranean diet is the best diet to reduce the risk of CVD. d) A Mediterranean diet is the only diet to reduce the risk of CVD. 5 . The increasing adoption of cloud computing has brought both benefits and challenges in terms of cybersecurity. While cloud providers offer robust security features, organizations are still responsible for securing their data and applications within the cloud environment. What is the shared responsibility model for cloud security? a) The cloud provider is solely responsible for security. b) The organization is solely responsible for security. c) Security responsibilities are shared between the cloud provider and the organization. d) Security responsibilities are determined by the specific cloud service model (IaaS, PaaS,
SaaS). 6. In JavaScript, what is the value of `x` after the following code is executed? ```javascript let x = 5; x = x++; ``` a) 5 b) 6 c) 4 d) The code will result in an error. 7. What considerations help determine when automated vs manual testing is appropriate? a) Effort required, test case repeatability, application maturity - combine optimal strategies. b) Automate everything possible for maximum benefit. c) Rely on manual testing due to nuanced judgment and insight. d) Avoid automation due to script maintenance costs. 8. How does the theory of plate tectonics explain continental drift and what evidence supports this theory? a) Convection currents in the mantle drive plate movements - paleomagnetism, seafloor age patterns, fossil matches confirm. b) Continental drift disproven and superseded by expanding Earth theory. c) Movement driven primarily by gravitational interactions with the Moon. d) Largely hypothetical theory with scant evidence.

9. How can following DevOps practices improve collaboration between software developers and operations teams? a) Automation, monitoring, continuous delivery, blameless culture - share ownership of services. b) DevOps has no impact, developers should focus on coding only. c) Main DevOps benefit is faster feature release. d) Should minimize communication to avoid wasted time. 10 The Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) is a classic optimization problem in computer science. It asks for the shortest possible route that visits each city in a given set exactly once. Which of the following algorithms is guaranteed to find the optimal solution to the TSP for all problem instances? a) A greedy algorithm that always picks the closest unvisited city. b) A dynamic programming algorithm that builds up solutions to subproblems. c) A backtracking algorithm that explores all possible routes. d) There is no known algorithm that can guarantee the optimal solution for all problem instances. 11.
