Scenario: A store that specializes in maternity clothes tracks the sales of black skirts for five days. The raw data for the sales of skirts, indicated by the skirt size sold, is shown below. 10 12 10 8 16 16 8 12 6 16 12 12 12 10 22 8 20 16 12 14 6 12 18 16 10 8 12 10 Locate the mode of all skirts sold. The mode of all the skirts that was sold are 12 as it does appear 8 times on the data sheet Locate the median of all skirts sold. The median of the skirts that was sold was 12 due to how the arranged in order and it was in the middle value of the data table Locate the mean of all skirts sold. The mean and or average of the skirts that was sold was 12.2857 and it was rounded to 12 Assume that the store has completely sold out of stock and staff want to reorder more skirts. Describe which of the above measures of central tendency is the most useful to the staff in this scenario. Why? While looking of frequency of the sizes, the employees can look at the mode and the data so they can reorder more skirts. By looking at the measurements the employees will see that the most size that sold was size 12 and looks to be the most size that is in high demand and the most purchased size. The most wholesalers require the buyer to purchase the certain amount of each item and the size to order more off and the data would be able to tell the buyer for them not to restock the other sizes but to restock more of size 12 and the range of 10-16
