CPT 301 Computer Organization & Architecture Denise Smith Week 1 Interactive Assignment Instructor: Amine Dehmani 06/11/2021
Explain how each of the five classical components integrate as a standard organization of a computer. A few aspects that should be noted when speaking about the five classical components is data and how that comes from input. Again, a main item is data and all the data typically will run on a user's input or input devices. The data then follows a particular path that deciphers and pulls various pieces of information and stores the memory. Next the area that tells the other components what to do and stimulate certain actions is the control unit. Define performance in general and the measure of computer performance. In computing, performance is generally the measured by how much useful work is accomplished by a computer system. In addition to the devices’ specs, computer performance is estimated mostly by how accurate, efficient and the amount of timely it takes computer for that computer to execute the most general and complex tasks. In your own words, summarize the instructions, operations, and operands of the computer hardware; the hardware and software interface; and the representation of instructions in computers. The best way to describe each element is to break down what each item's function. The instruction give direction to tell the computer what it is supposed to do step by step. The operands are like the computer specs and they breakdown what and how the data on the computer is operated on and they are also part on the instructions. The Hardware and software have the ability of taking those instructions, as mentioned before, and interface the computer's language and that tends to be shown by binary numbers.
