Angelica Sheridan Module 5 assignment Part 1- Working with layers The file format I chose for the photoshop images was PSD. Photoshop automatically uses this file format, and with what we learned in previous modules this file format is the best for images. Since these images that were edited in photoshop have multiple layers, high resolution images and no vector graphics, PSD is the best file format for saving images created and/or edited in photoshop. texts, images, etc. The .AI file format is also good for illustrator files and should be used for digitally designed images, graphics or drawings that will be printed to retain clarity and detail. Below is the icon I created while following the Illustrator tutorial. Part 3- Design a logo This logo was also saved in PDF format. Unless specified by the person requesting the logo to be saved in .ai format, PDF format is more universal and can still be opened in illustrator with full editing capabilities, as well as its content and layers still being available. This file can also be saved under SVG format if it were to be used for things like websites.
Part 4- Add text to your designs For these text-based images, these files were saved under PDF. This allows them to be shared across multiple platforms. These files being saved as PDF also ensure that the format and layout are preserved, while reducing the file size.
