This article discussed various methods that parents could use to teach financial literacy to their children. The author went on to state how it is important to start educating your children and
building their financial knowledge and money management skills at an early age so that they will
be equipped to establish themselves financially in the future. The purpose of this article was to provide parents with a variety of topics and suggestions that would aid them in enhancing their children's financial knowledge. Activities such as chores and yardwork were suggested as a means for children to be educated on financial literacy.
This article was a good source of information regarding financial literacy. Not only was the
information current and but it also provided established methods on a basic scale that when implemented children could enhance their financial knowledge and be introduced to the working world.

This journal was based on a study to determine how factors such as race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status plays a role in assessing a child's self- determination level in dealing with life's pressures. The journal also addressed the need for a variety of assessment tools that would help assist students from multiple personal and environmental backgrounds.
In evaluating the information presented here in the journal I found it be very informational with
detailed actions to be taken by students to enhance self- initiation and autonomy. The authors also
provided pertinent information on how making intentional conscious choices would better assist
students when making decisions in today's society. Reflecting on this information allowed me to
think back to the time when I was a young man in my twenties faced with multiple decisions to make that would impact my future. As was pointed out in the journal, consisting self- assessments along with initiative and psychological empowerment are key characteristics that
can aid you in navigating society.

adult independence. The article also provided recommendations such as support for parents,
training for staff to help in assisting children, and screening and treatment from healthcare
professionals which is key in assisting the children.
The recommendations that were presented in the article summed up the necessary tools and services that need to be made available to children so that they are equipped with the skills to transition into adulthood. Through high-quality teaching and positive interventions, students can be supported to achieve autonomy to make the transition into adulthood a smooth one.

that are caused through family values and beliefs while children are attempting to achieve adult independence. I liked the information that was presented in the article because it addressed and
provided symptoms and outcomes that are experienced not only from the children but from the parent's experiences as well.
