2 CRAAPO What is the CRAAPO test, and how is it used? The CRAAPO is a test used for source evaluation. The acronym stands for Currency, Relevancy, Authority, Accuracy, purpose, and Objectivity. It is used when you have found a source and want to ensure it is credible and viable. Explain why you believe the information has been reviewed . The information has been reviewed because it was published in an academic journal —other experts in the field review information submitted to journals. Will you need to search for new sources? I will need to search for new sources. One of my sources comes from an unreliable site and must be changed. On the other hand, my scholarly source is a valid, viable source that will not need to be changed. Both sources have strength in authority, but inaccuracies are likely within my popular source.
