Hi Everyone,
What do you say?
Our project teams have been performing well in recent projects, although
there were a few projects that were behind schedule and went a little over
budget. We have been giving importance to communication these days in
order for more projects to succeed. One of the key factors of
communication included constructive feedback. I believe our teams
should practice constructive feedback.
Why do you think it's important?
Feedback is like holding a mirror to your team member to show them
what impact their actions or behaviors is having/ will have in the future on
the project goals. It is the duty of the project manager to coach his/her
team members and keep them motivated. If an employee has done
something that has benefited the organization, PM should give positive
feedback on that. This will motivate the employee to work even harder
and would make him feel that his work was noted. If an employee's
actions have caused harm to the project, a PM should give constructive
feedback to that employee so that he can understand the consequences
of his actions. PM could suggest him better ways of doing the same thing
or direct him to someone who can guide him in that work. This would
improve the quality of work produced and would also generate
transparency within the organization. Feedback is a powerful
communication tool that should be used to give both positive and
negative feedback. This will help to improve the project's performance. I
believe that if our organization becomes more open to feedback, our
employees would have a clearer idea of what is expected from them, and
they would be able to perform better on the project.
Thanks and Regards,
