1.Dear HR: With so many of us working remotely now, I sometimes feel disconnected from the team. Are there any tools we could use to promote informal communication and build internal connections? Hello! I am sorry you feel a disconnect from your team at times! To answer your question, yes there are tools we can use to promote communication and build connections. Rather than just using email to communicate we here at ABC company utilize a technology system called Microsoft Teams. This allows employees and the organization to communicate effectively and quickly when you are not in the office. The impact Microsoft Teams has on our organization has largely affected how we communicate within the company. It has allowed us to be able to create groups, schedule meetings, and have face-to-face video calls with one another. You can download Microsoft Teams on your phone as well as your computer to keep in communication with your fellow employees and this will help build those internal connections with your remote colleagues! 2.Dear HR: I’m struggling to keep my daily tasks, duties, and goals organized. Can you suggest any tools that could help? Hi, I understand having so many daily tasks, duties, and goals can be very overwhelming! I’d be happy to help you with this issue. The first tool I would suggest is using your outlook calendar to help you keep your tasks and schedule in order. Next is Microsoft To Do. This is an app that allows you to manage your tasks from anywhere and set goals to be achieved. You may want to set certain tasks and goals on a daily repeat so you will get a reminder everyday for that
task and or goal you have. These tools have helped our organization stay on top of our duties and manage our time to be as efficient as possible, and I hope that these will help you to do the same! 3.Dear HR: Are there any tools we could use to recognize fellow employees and highlight their valuable accomplishments? Hi there, I really appreciate this question! Yes, there are tools you can use to recognize your fellow employees. At ABC company we take pride in holding weekly win meetings, providing company swag, and bonuses. And to add to all of that we have incorporated an app called Kudos. This app allows employees to recognize their fellow workers and features badges of recognition for their accomplishments. You may be interested to know that this app has impacted our organization by allowing us to relate to our employees and have each of you be engaged with one another and uplifting. Our culture has grown especially due to incorporating this app into the organization and we hope you find it easy to navigate!
