Embed your social network drawing here or provide a link to it.
1.
Take a look at your picture. What inferences can you draw from what you see? How dense is your network?
I noticed that my social network isn’t huge and that it is mostly family. My network is dense as it is either all family or my roommate. I am very close with all the individuals listed above.
2.
If you shared a new health innovation with specific people in your network, how far do you think the innovation would travel? If I shared a new health innovation with the people in my network, I believe that I would travel a while and get my name out there to others. My father has a huge connection of people due to is job so that would be a great help. My mother and sister both work in a medical facility which would be a huge impact. Mason has a sister that is a nurse at a medical facility as well so that would be helpful in sharing an innovation. The only people that wouldn’t have a network for this specific case would be my grandparents, Braxton, and Anthony.
3.
Do you think others would share it with other people in their network after learning about it from you? After informing people about my health innovation, it is likely that others would share it with other people. If I gave a clear presentation about it, answered questions, and stated my purpose and results. 4.
Describe the power of social networks, based on what you have depicted.
My father has a huge power of social networks, he knows everyone in my hometown which has given him so many connections. This would allow for the message to go far and to the right people. My mother also has huge power of social networks as she works in a medical facility with over 5 clinics in Idaho. The power of social networks is incredibly useful, it is important to know people that can help you out in a time of need.
5.
Who are the people in your network who might act as bridges? Where do you see structural holes?
I could see structural holes with my roommate Anthony, he was a surgical technician at CSI and grew a big social network. He moved back to Boise and lose interaction with them. Although he might “know” doctors, nurses, and other medial faculty, they may not be aware
of him. Part 02
Sometimes when students first learn about Diffusion Theory, they assume the category of adopter (innovator, early adopter) is the primary focal point. This is not the case. Ponder the question “What is the focal point of Diffusion theory?” and write a response in three to five sentences. Justify your response with references to the reading.
The focal point of Diffusion theory is the expansion of new ideas and products moved among people/population. By doing so it allows for us to see who we are connected and what ideas please people. Diffusion theory serves as a process that allows for us to

understand how new ideas or products are spread until they are “popular”. It gives you an idea of how social networks work and how it influences the process of an innovation.
