In recent years, Blizzard Entertainment has been facing a lot of negative publicity and controversy surrounding its handling of player misconduct and harassment allegations. These controversies have resulted in a significant loss of trust and goodwill from both customers and employees. In response, Blizzard needs to implement a comprehensive crisis communication strategy that prioritizes transparency, collaboration, and responsible business practices. This essay explores the various steps that Blizzard can take to improve its communication strategy and mitigate the negative impact of the recent controversy.
Increase Transparency
One of the most crucial steps that Blizzard can take to improve its communication strategy is to increase transparency with stakeholders, including customers, employees, and the media. The company needs to be more forthcoming with information about its decision-making process, including the reasons behind controversial decisions. Blizzard needs to be transparent about how it handles misconduct and harassment allegations and provide regular updates on its progress in addressing these issues. Blizzard can improve its social media presence by creating a dedicated social media team

Additionally, Blizzard can use social media platforms to engage in a dialogue with customers and stakeholders and address their concerns.
Address Employee Concerns
Blizzard needs to take steps to address the concerns of its employees, including issues related to workplace culture, diversity, and inclusion. This includes implementing policies and programs that promote a more inclusive and diverse workplace, as well as addressing concerns raised by employees in a transparent and timely manner.
