1. Best Application: Describe one experience you have had in your life that coincides with what you learned this week. To get full credit, you must use AT LEAST one term/theory/concept that shows you read the textbook and can apply the material of this week's lesson. Bold or underline the term/theory/concept you chose to highlight this week. (50 words minimum) I once had a situation at work in which everyone was tired and could not get the technical fault of the machine as we have tested both the electrical and mechanical part, as the tension tensed due to the weather not been favorable there were signs of aggression and at that point conflict between the two teams was high, few moments in between the contention I negotiated a win-win solution with my boss in using an alternative solution which was temporal for moment and everyone can resume the next morning with a fresh head to solve the issue as that provides a win-win situation for everyone as no solution can be found when tension is high in which he accepted and that was how solution was found in the morning when everyone was relaxed. 2. Best Your Board Contribution: Part of this course is being an active participant in class by posting at least once in response to the initial question and replying at least twice to other students. Think about your interactions on the Your Board discussion board this week. (50 words minimum) Part 1) Summarize your initial post and any insights you learned about yourself/others. (If you did not post by the Tuesday midnight deadline, you will not receive credit.) Withholder: Instead of expressing anger honestly and directly they hold back something such as courtesy or affection I saw this happen to me this week and I felt wow it such a great time to learn about crazymakers. Part 2) Summarize your best reply and any insights you learned about yourself/others. Replying to Malena on how I have to walk up to open a dialogue from a withholder conflict issue to ease the situation. 3. Best Group Insights: Think about other students’ contributions in the Small Group Discussion that resonated with you. Name two people, describe their contributions and what you learned from them. (50 words minimum) Note: If you are doing the alternate assignment, name the two people with whom you met. Part 1) Name 1st student. Describe their contribution and what you learned. Jeremy shared and discussed on how to deal with conflict, a situation he had witnessed in his life and how he wished he had handle the situation better then as he learn a better way of dealing with conflict which makes me to better understand the importance of patience in crises. Part 2) Name 2nd student. Describe their contribution and what you learned.
Malena talked about confrontational vrs collaborative language we use when in conflict. And the use of words to avoid being confrontive during a conflict as I learn how to best be ensure collaborative than confrontation Part 3) Describe your live small group meeting: 1) who attended 2) length of meeting 3) location of meeting. We meet using Jeremy zoom link and spent 57 minutes in which everyone was in attendance Jeremy, Malena, Tabi, Flavio, me and valinda 4. Best Analysis: (50 words minimum) Part 1) Name and summarize the Deepen Your Learning article or video you shared. You will not receive credit for parts 2 or 3 if you did not participate in a discussion. Not as the world giveth, Elder Jefferey R. Holland https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2021/04/23holland?lang=eng Expressing the view that Christ already warned that there will be wars an conflict but through the atonement of Christ we can have peace and be saved. Part 2) Write the question you shared to spur discussion in your Small Group Discussion. Why is it hard for peace to ensure between the world? Part 3) Write your own response to your question. The love of power and fame is what the devil is using to divide the world and except the teaching of Christ be instilled in the heart of everyone one, peace is a very tough attribute to find. 5. Best Reading Insights: List three insights from the reading assignment this week. One of these insights should come from the Tyler/Janelle story. One of these insights should come from the Tyler/Janelle story. Two should come from the textbook. Please number them 1-3. (75 words minimum) Tyler/Janelle story : this is more of a beltliner from Janelle as she is also a guilt maker not owing up to her own part of the issue but going for the beltliner to save her face and feels like she had done nothing wrong. Negotiation involves open discussion between parties to find a mutually agreeable solution. It utilizes good communication skills to address the interests of all sides. Assertion expresses one's own needs clearly and respectfully while considering the needs of others. Both methods aim to find constructive solutions to problems through respectful dialogue 6. Best Activity: Which activity from the textbook did you decide to complete? What did you learn from this? (50 words minimum)
I completed ACTIVITY 8.3 Inventory of Your Verbal Shooting Gallery as I look on this activity, I come to realize a lot of verbal shootings I have received and how I choose to react, though I have reacted badly in some and through the years I have come to learn to just walk away from anyone using such words on me as It only show their standard and not mine. 7. Best Personal Event: What was the best thing that happened to you outside of class this week? Been able to confront a close friend of mine who is a withholder to always express her view after learning about the different types of conflict and characters of people was so thrilling as I helped her to see that having differences is normal with people but withholding and showing annoyance through actions or behaving with signs does not help as the other party would not know what they have done.
