Watching the video on heavy newspaper encourages me to interact with the content. It also creates a bigger memory imprint in my mind, this video perfect my information retention. As a student I like watching videos as a way of introducing a topic to me which instinctively I’m visually stimulated. This heavy newspaper Video is great for teaching concepts of the practical aspect and which is best-explained step-by-step. As I was struggling with a part of the hands -on minds-on activity, all I needs to do is pause the video to allow me to catch up. The videos of heavy newspaper stimulates my cognitive processes, reasoning, problem-solving, decision-making, and creativity. This Video took me beyond recall-and-relate activities. This videos engage me to facilitate further engagement with the content. While as Whenever scientist makes an observation, it sparks their curiosity and they launch into a deeper exploration. We all become scientists when startled and astonished by illusions or an unexpected outcome,. We all want or demand to know:How? Why? and, Can it be done again? This hands-on minds-on activity is an experience that challenges my thinking, caused the results of this Heavy newspaper is the opposite of what I expected, at least it puzzled me. It is an experience that threw me off balance. This hands-on minds-on activity is an excellent way that inspire me to develop an inquisitive, scientific mindset. This activity is a fun way that introduce a new concept in science and test my understanding. This activity is a very powerful tool to develop my inquiry skills.(science world 2023). This hands-on minds-on activity inv olves the 5 E’s of the constructivist model: Engage: In this phase, I was invited to connect what I already know from watching the video on heavy newspaper. Explore: In this phase, I actually collected data and make observations. Explain: in this phase all explanations are made in the video I watched that ensure what I learned is actually from experience. Elaborate or Extend: In this phase, as a students I can take what I have learned and apply it to other situations. Evaluate: As a Students I was asked what to write this paper and my teacher/my course mates will both assess what and how much I learned from the activity. This activity puzzle, engage, and motivate me.
No vedios cannot not arouse the same level of curiosity in learners as hands-on minds-on discrepant events Because discrepant event has been identified as a useful tool to creates cognitive conflict and can lead to conceptual change and learning. Observing and investigating discrepant events is also motivating. Discrepant events increase scientific understanding and natural sense of curiosity for brain based experiments and demonstrations, film, explanation of a series of events, laboratory tests and a natural event through school trip by providing a deep thinking and discussion of the results (O’ Brien, 2011; Weller, 2008). For this event it has no demerit . For the video the advantage is I like watching video as a way of introducing topic to me theirs no demerit.
