Do you remember the last time you saw a Saint Jude's commercial? The ones that make you want to
pull out your wallet and donate your entire next paycheck to finding a cure for cancer. Our society
can be judged by the way we show compassion for our fellow kin in their vulnerable hours. We all
hope to live to a ripe old age ending our life with our loved ones around and prepared to meet again
with the ones already on the other side. Unfortunately not everyone will live to this desired goal.

Julius Caesar
Topic: Write an expository essay on the role of persuasion in the play. Julius Caesar is a tragic drama
written by William Shakespeare in 1599. This tragedy takes place in ancient Rome around 44 B.C
when Rome was a great empire. Julius Caesar was a very important figure at this time as he was a
very successful general who helped spread the Roman Empire and after his defeat of his political
rival Pompey, he took on the role of becoming a dictator of Rome. But many citizens "feared that
Caesar's power would lead to the enslavement of Roman citizens by one of their own. Therefore, a
group of conspirators came together and assassinated Caesar. The assassination, however, failed to
put an end to the power struggles dividing the

Was this ambition? Yet Brutus says he was ambitious, And sure he is an honorable man." (III.ii.82–
96)" ). In this statement, Antony is trying to persuade the audience to think that Caesar is a good
man as he refused the crown and through this he is trying to emphasize on the goodness of Caesar.
So Antony, a friend of Caesar, when speaking a funeral oration over Caesar's body, he spectacularly
persuaded the audience to withdraw their support from Brutus and condemn him and the
conspirators as a traitor. Antony engages masterful rhetoric to stir the crowd to revolt against the
conspirators."3 Another evident example of persuasion occurs when Cassius flatters Brutus. In this
scene of the tragedy, Cassius is knowledgeable enough to know that Rome would be harmed if
Caesar became the leader and that he (Cassius) would need Brutus' help in the movement to kill
Caesar with the conspirators. Cassius therefore uses a lot of flatter and persuasion whenever he talks
to Brutus. Cassius states "Caesar doth bear me hard, but he loves Brutus. If I were Brutus now and
he were Cassius, he should not humor me. (I.II, 308–315)." Through this statement Cassius is trying
to persuade Brutus and convince him of the love that Caesar had for him (Brutus) and not for
Cassius. He later states " I will this night, in several hands, in at his windows throw, As if they came
from several citizens, writings all tending to the great opinion that Rome hold of his name, wherein

How do you feel when you have to wait for something you really, really want? What if it was
something you couldn't live without? Each day, an average of 79 people receive organ transplants.
However, an average of 18 people die each day waiting for transplants that can 't take place because
of the shortage of donated organs. Any one of those people might be someone you know. Today I'd
like to talk to you about the need for organ donors in our area, second, how you can become an
organ donor after you die, and finally, how your family and organ donor recipients benefit from your
donation. People all over the world are in need of an organ transplant even people right here in
CNY, Buffalo, NYC, you get the picture. The problem is that there

They will be involved in the donation arrangements when you die. If they do not know your wishes
of becoming a donor, your wishes may never be carried out. The last thing you have to do is Mark
your driver's license so that your license indicates your intent to donate. Fill out, sign and carry a
uniform donor card with you. This donor card says what organs you wish to have donated and also
has places for your family members to sign as witnesses after you have discussed your decision with
them. You can see that it isn't difficult to be an organ donor. Now let's look at what may happen if
you choose to donate your organs and what may happen if you choose not to. If you choose to
donate, there will be benefits to both your family and the recipient's. If you do donate your organs,
your family and the people who receive your organs might benefit in a similar way like this family.
A seventeen year old died of head injuries in a car accident. His mom decided to donate his organs.
His heart went to a prison chaplain, his kidneys went to a mother of 5 children and a Vietnam vet.
The Vietnam vet is "energetic" and finally is getting his college degree. The teenager gave life to
others and his family feels a sense of satisfaction and comfort that other lives have been touched by
his. The problem arises when you are thinking about becoming a donor but never do anything about
it. Then, no one knows your wishes and your organs will not be donated. The consequences of this

Persuasive Essay On Discrimination
Discrimination, everyone does it, and many have been a victim of it, but what does it mean?
Discrimination that impairs an individual's moral rights based on a generalized characterizes is
immoral.
According to the Oxford dictionary, discrimination is defined as: The unjust or prejudicial treatment
of different categories of people, especially on the grounds of race, age, or sex. (
Discrimination
,
2017) Our lives are full of discriminatory acts but, does that mean that all discrimination is wrong?
In ways, we all discriminate against others around us based on who they are, who we are, and in
what capacity we know them. When we interact with others, we tailor our performance to what we
think our audience expects of us. We present a version of ourselves that we believe our audience will
most appreciate. Therefore, the reason we talk differently to our friends, parents, and coworkers is
that we are presenting our self to suit the desires of the audience before us. The reality is we all
discriminate, whether we are deciding what school to send our children to, or what restaurant to eat
at, we make choices favoring one over another. Employers discriminate against applicants who do
not have a bachelor's degree and professional sports teams discriminate against average athletes
because they fail to meet the physical fitness and performance requirements. So, let's not
immediately assume that discrimination is the moral evil it's made out to be. In fact, discrimination
is essential to our ability to make moral choices between good and bad, right and wrong. The boader
idea here is that not all forms of discrimination are viewed as unfair or unjust. We can all agree that
when discrimination limits an individual or group's ability to achieve their goals, it is unfair. For the
most part, the forms of discrimination that we find most offensive are those that are based on social
assets that are beyond the control of the individual. There is however positive discrimination, in
which we treat someone differently, because of their differences, but do it in a positive way. When
we give up our seat on the bus for an elderly or pregnant person, we are discriminating in a positive
way. It is important to remember

Persuasive Essay
"Your assignment is to write a persuasive essay and present it to the class in a week. You will be
graded based on how convincing it is. Today we will be choosing topics," announced Mr.
Bowerbank, my 7th grade English teacher and ruler of classroom 110. My class simultaneously
groaned at the prospect of work. I simply lifted my head with intrigue as it was already May and
about time we had our first essay
. He then proceeded to give examples of topics we could choose
and gave us some time to think before we had to tell him our topic. My classmates were already
rushing to tell the teacher their idea lest someone else steal it. That meant the usual abortion, death
penalty, or drug use topics were out. I really couldn't think of anything and the teacher was slowly
making his way through the remaining students like an executioner beheading criminals in a line. I
have always thought that he would make a marvelous supervillain if he had a curly mustache, a
tophat, and a cape. Eventually my name was called. I slowly dragged myself over to his desk. Even
sitting down, he still seemed to tower over me. "What is your topic Cindy?" As usual in such
desperate times, my mind turned to food. "Waffles are better than pancakes." I figured that a waffle
was just a differently shaped pancake with a nicer texture. "Hmm. Excellent topic. I look forward to
your essay!" I survived to live yet another day. As I walked to lunch, I went around and asked
everyone the age old question: "Do you like

Reflection Of A Persuasive Reflection
Reflection of a Persuasive Essay by Vickie Hale In my revision, I decided to incorporate actionable
feedback from the feedback I received. The feedback I received was that my essay needed more
clarification, I choose to use this feedback to help make my argument more developed, I wanted to
create a better thought out essay and I worked on the clarification of my argument as well as
renewed my research. With that, I did some critical thinking to help work through the weak areas of
my essay which was the structure and syntax. Therefore, I incorporated these suggestions because
they helped me to improve my essay and help me to create a more persuasive essay. Without these
changes alongside the small revisions, I made, I do not believe my essay would have been as well–
written so they were much needed. My biggest challenges came from not being able to pin down my
argument, it took me a while to come find a side to an argument that wasn't vague. Because, I
usually write in a creative way, which does not necessarily have to be persuasive, I usually write
fictional stories and people getting the understanding from the experiences of the characters is the
outcome, but with persuasive writing
, you are trying to get your readers to not only agree with your
side of the argument but to see what and why you are arguing your side in the first place. This
became difficult for me because I kept feeling like my argument was not central and a little vague. I
worked on trying to help my readers understand what and why I was arguing my side of the
argument. I had to think about who was reading my essay and this helped. What I could have done
differently is choose a more central argument, I believe it would have reduced my challenges. This
question is hard for me to answer because I did not receive but one peer feedback, the feedback I
incorporated concerning my exploration of the issue was more clarification because that was one of
the problems my peer review pointed out. I worked on my clarification because it is one of the main
elements, that is needed when you are writing a persuasive essay or any essay for that matter.
Clarification gives the essay structure so your readers can have a full understanding of your

Disconsolation has plagued the world we live in for many years. Powerful sources of destruction
surround us, hitting us again and again with words of injustice and prejudice. Sometimes we don't
know where to turn or who to turn to. It's a constant struggle. The struggle against prejudice, racism,
sexism and the constant veil of hate that covers this great nation and the world of today's civilians.
Sometimes it's hard to walk amongst people and know that no matter how kind hearted or brilliant
you may be, you are constantly being judged, based on your race
, sexual identity or gender.
I dream of a day, of an age, where I can no longer be conscious of judgement. A day where people
wait to judge you until after they have met you, had a conversation

in bigger cities like New York City and L.A.? What are the dues if any? Or is this just an additional
service that entertainers in these particular fields can acquire while being members of other unions?

As a woman, have you ever felt like having a vajayjay is an automatic handicap? Of course you
have! Everyone knows that if you have a genital orifice instead of a genital probe, you are naturally
assumed to be responsible for: child rearing, household cleaning, meal preparation, making sure
bills are paid on time, adequately maintaining the family's food supply, scheduling and chauffeuring
for appointments, heading up the family's PR with birthday cards, thank you letters, Christmas

....
The list goes on and on. So why does having an inny instead of an outy come with so much
responsibility? Don't get me wrong; I understand the tripod gender is typically laden with their own

The Art of Persuasion Essay examples
The Art of Persuasion Used since the times of the ancient Greeks, the art of persuasion has become
an integral part of our everyday language. From its inception, it was used to elect a government to
rule a state, used to boost a person's spirit, and used to win a crowd's favour. There are many
different types of persuasive techniques, such as the general ethos, pathos and logos, repetition, list
of three

However, using too much of logos can be a drag as too much facts and statistics makes a speech
mundane. This is why ethos is equally used in a persuasive speech. Ethos uses credibility to
persuade the audience. The speaker credits the audience by complimenting them in various ways. In
J.F.K's Berlin speech, his starting sentence clearly shows Ethos, "I am proud to come to this city as
the guest of your distinguished Mayor, who has symbolized thoroughout the world the fighting spirit
of West Berlin. And I am proud to visit the Federal Republic with your distinguished Chancellor…"
In the starting speech, J.F.K uses personal pronouns to include the audiences in his speech. Kennedy
also repeats the word "distinguished", which is an evident compliment to the country. J.F.K also
addresses positions of authority like Berlin's Mayor and Chancellor to make it seem respectable.
Ethos is very useful when it comes to persuasion, as one tends to take pride in praises which others
say to them. Likewise, pathos is another technique used to persuade the audience emotionally.
Although emotional appeals are not popular in some formal arguments, it still remains the most
powerful persuasive factor, as ethos and logos sometimes do

in there. If there is no one there then you can move in. The tactic I use is plant it in a area so you can
see the bomb, such as put it at a doorway so I can watch it from a different room or put it by a

so jump in and just don't let them come in the area. If there are people in the objective in any of

Around the world our populace goes up and another goes down, both in a rapid manner. If you may
not know what population it is, here's a hint, for your birthday you usually get balloons powered by
this, but maybe in the future twenty five years from now you can't have these balloons due to
scarcity of this object. Nevertheless, moving away from balloons, and to a more serious manner, to
put it bluntly, our natural resources are rapidly running low, and are getting scarce in a rapid manner.
As, humans we may adapt to these changes by moving away from obsolete forms of energy like coal
however, our species have not found alternative ways to adapt to every certain shortcoming when it
comes to specified nonrenewable resources. Needless to say,

As you may know there are over seven billion people in the world today, and each day that number
goes up around 350,000 each day around the world but, why may I be presenting this fact you may
ask? Well from research under an accredited website based in Copenhagen Denmark, called The
World Counts that specializes in the depletion of these natural resources, " A newborn infant will
need: 360 kilos of lead, 340 kilos of zinc, 680 kilos of copper, 1,630 kilos of aluminum, 14,800 kilos
of iron, and 560,000 kilos of stone, sand, gravel and cement."(The World Counts Org.) So, as you
could see the amount of resources the world must provide for one baby in its lifetime is quite
staggering, and if you multiply that by the amount of babies born in one single day alone, now the
issue of scarcity of resources gets to be a little worrying. So, to effectively combat resource scarcity,
we must simultaneously combat overpopulation in the world, and to do this, we could provide
