Students will be able to identify items of litter around the school.
Opening Assessment (5 minutes)
Show pictures of different types of litter to the students.
Ask students to identify and name each item of litter shown.
Lesson Plan (20 minutes)
1.
Introduction (2 minutes):
Engage students in a discussion about the importance of keeping the school clean.
Show a short video or use images to illustrate the negative effects of littering.

Brainstorming (5 minutes):
Use a
whiteboard
or a digital
whiteboard
tool to list common types of litter.
Ask students to actively participate by sharing examples of litter they have
observed around the school.

Group Activity (8 minutes):
Divide students into small groups.
Provide each group with a checklist of items to find around the school.
Allow students to explore the school premises and mark off items of litter they
find.
Encourage students to collect the litter and dispose of it properly.
4.

consequences of the litter being left unattended.
