We Do Questions for Chapter 4. Vol. 1 Gris Grimlv’s Frankenstein These questions are additional support for Amplify 8C Science & Science Fiction (Lesson 2, activity 10). 3. If Victor says he chose beautiful features to put his creation together, why do you think Victor believes his creature turned out awful? (Grimly, paragraph 2) Use evidence from the text to support your answer. 2 How can | describe my emotions at this catastrophe. His limbs were in proportion, and | had selected his features as beautiful. Beautiful!—Great God! His yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles and arteries and straight black lips. Victor is disgusted with his creation. This is clear from his description in paragraph 2 of the creature's look. He uses terms like "horrid contrast, "watery eyes," "shriveled complexion,” and “straight black lips” to describe his disgust for him. The definition of horrid means horrible, so this word describes the creature as a horrible creature. "His yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles and arteries beneath; his hair was of a lustrous black, and flowing; his teeth of a pearly whiteness; but these luxuriances only formed a more horrid contrast with his watery eyes... (Paragraph 2). "Unable to endure the aspect of the being | had created, | rushed out of the room..." (Paragraph 4).
