Action Plan Proposal for Technology Innovation Keisha Lazard EDT 5100 December 3, 2023
Change Implementation Change is inevitable, and those unwilling to adapt will be left behind. Acadiana School’s goal is to create a technology action plan that will make an effective utilization of the technology the school needs. The objective is to draft a technological action plan that will efficiently employ the equipment our school requires. There are three components to the strategy. An overview of the suggested change and its justification will be given in Section A. The people involved in making sure the action plan works are listed in Section B, along with the duties they will be playing. The program justification, data monitoring and collection, action plan timeline, and resources required from various stakeholders are all included in Section C. Action Plan Successful transformation requires preparation and time. With the help of easily accessible materials and effective graphical coaching and modeling, educators can support their student's learning in a new curriculum. Help from administrators is crucial for success. Our campus has a problem in that the administration doesn't often get together with teachers, and when they do, it's only to criticize them for their work without providing any help or support. Pupils who misbehave receive no disciplinary action. I will require the administration's full support to overcome the obstacles listed in my action plan. Technology is among the most crucial elements in the twenty-first century of education. When quick action is needed, technology can help. Before even being referred to special education services or the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, our students can receive the finest learning and intervention by implementing a tiered intervention model. With the help of technology, administrators and educators can begin using RTI more widely and manipulating the i-Ready platform.
There are, in fact, programs that use inquiry and technology to improve access and student accomplishment. The transition I propose is i-Ready, which can be utilized across all curricula. Using i-Ready in RTI can assist with continuing data gathering, usage, and data-driven decisions. Lowered documentation or the formation of resources for each child receiving RTI can save educators time. In Tier 1, i-Ready can evaluate students' abilities and assess the instruction quality in general education classrooms. This program can provide data as soon as the student is finished. Part 1: Section A Rationale Acadiana School seeks to give pupils opportunity and an unparalleled educational experience. This school's programs aim to improve academic and social competence significantly. Examples include higher test scores, better classroom behavior, reduced grade retention rates, enhanced grades, and increased growth in state test performance. At Acadiana, instructional technology is significant because it allows our instructors to introduce cutting-edge resources and tools into the classroom. Teachers can continue to improve the learner- centeredness of their classrooms. It enables educators to communicate with teachers in fresh, inventive, equitable, and fair methods. Part 2: Section B Stakeholders/Individuals Involved Parents, instructors, staff, coaches, the community, and administration will all be there for the students. These individuals have a significant influence on the education of these pupils. About 2800 pupils attend this school. It is astounding to observe how technology has evolved to serve as our pupils' primary source of support. The parents will determine whether this is their

child's best course of action. Parents can decide if technology is their child's most excellent resource. The administration oversees every aspect of school operation, including striving to manage the school budget and establishing a secure learning environment. To further define school administration, consider the numerous responsibilities of school authorities and the people who must carry out administrative tasks. They will determine whether this action plan satisfies the school's requirements, curriculum, and the methods we can implement. Teachers have a responsibility to speak up for their pupils in the classroom. This implies they will voice their opinions regarding pupils' needs, wants, and privileges. For kids with disabilities, in particular, who might be less inclined to advocate for themselves, this is especially important. This would also entail the instructor requesting supplies or equipment the students might need in the classroom. Stakeholders provide our students with positive relationships and learning and performance opportunities. They are experts in many other areas, including hobbies and professions. They provide resilience, inspiration, and hope. Part 3: Section C Steps into the Action Plan The main objective of this initiative is to give kids access to digital programs and technology so they can learn beyond their current capabilities. I-Ready is the program I support, offering pupils individualized instruction according to their skill levels. Any lesson that a teacher is teaching that has a standard can be assigned on the i-Ready application and completed online, which is another helpful tool from this program by pupils. The twenty-first-century teacher is heavily data-driven. This program is excellent because it keeps track of every diagnostic test a student takes and shows their current location in performance. This action plan's first phase is to gather data from each of my pupils to demonstrate to the administration how they are doing and what further data is required to get them up to grade level before the next school year starts. It's
time to talk to the administration and approve the plan once all the data has been collected. We need the administration's full cooperation to implement the strategy, which could be challenging given the limited funds. If they implement it for the entire school, this action plan will cost the team anything from $17,000 to $117,000. Approval is required for this substantial budget. A diagnostic test will be administered to students in the fall, winter, and spring to determine significant academic progress. Students will take minor diagnostic tests in addition to the main exam to highlight areas for development. Ultimately, a decision will be made on how long to use this new software to gather data and how we will gauge student progress in the classroom. Teachers need professional development before this program may be authorized or accepted. When introducing a new curriculum or program, teachers must comprehend the idea and content. Teachers need to regularly and continuously have the opportunity to learn from one another. Teachers are kept up to speed on the most recent findings regarding how children learn through ongoing professional development. Other benefits include national curriculum resources, classroom technological tools, and more. Continuous work experience hands-on, collaborative, connected to and derived from working with kids and understanding their culture best serves them. Each student will require a laptop with internet access to become internet-ready as part of the resources necessary for this plan. Teachers must install the platform on their work devices to access student information and performance statistics. Students must have unique accounts that they can enter into. Students will gain from technology integration in the classroom because it gives them access to the internet and facilitates learning objectives by offering digital materials, online collaborative spaces, and tools. Students benefit from online learning without sacrificing the social component.
