Introduction According to Lupeanu, (2022), Personal effectiveness is known as the branch of self-help transformation for the goal and success which integrates with some area of concern like positive thinking. This is important as it includes both the physical and psychological resources which can be used to apply for personal and professional growth. As per Lupeanu, (2022), where Bandura’s theory of self-efficacy has been considered to illustrate the sense of personal effectiveness where individuals need to regulate and develop their beliefs, abilities for making appropriate action in personal and professional space.
This report is designed into three divided tasks where in the first task
different leaders have been considered from some companies and with the consideration of CEO Genome project, skills, traits, impact and areas of gaps needs improvise have been discussed for the leaders chosen.
In the second task
Some social media platforms have been discussed with their use and application for personal and professional development through learning.
Third task
explains the suitable way to use social media platforms for personal development where two personal assessment test and regarding analysis have been made.
2.
Task 1: With the application of the CEO Genome Project find how different business leaders can demonstrate or lack in behaviors or key skills in personal effectiveness
As per the viewpoint of Smith, (2021), a decade gone with the research made into CEO Genome project where effort has been made to measure the characteristics which determine the high performing chief executives. All the great leaders are not born with traits carried from their DNA
(People Matters. 2019). As per the researchers involved in CEO Genome Project, the key for effective leadership is about the way through which the leaders are engaged into leadership by understanding and utilizing their talents, vision, expertise, experience and working on the gaps and inefficiencies. CEO Genome project researched about the key traits and behaviors that need to be present in a successful leader. The project findings challenged many widely held 4
assumptions. As per the project, successful CEOs tend to idealize four specific behaviors which prove critical to their performance standard (Harvard Business Review. 2017). The project also found that when board of directors of any firm are aware about these key traits or behaviors that need to be present in a successful leader, their recruitment and development procedure can increase the chance to appoint correct leader into the organization. Here the four key traits or behaviors in successful leaders as per CEO Genome project are, Decision by leaders need to be made with speed and conviction, Leaders have the focus on engagement, leaders’ willingness to adapt, a tendency of the leaders to reliability. Here some CEOs like Dennis Kozlowski who is the CEO of Tyco, Bernard Ebbers who is the CEO of WorldCom, and Scott Thompson who is the CEO of Yahoo! have been considered to find out whether any of the key traits or behaviors as per CEO Genome Project are available in these leaders or not.
Bernard A great example of a leader and CEO is John Ebbers, who was both the co-founder and CEO of WorldCom. His leadership has enabled the business to grow sustainably. CEO Bernard Ebbers owned stock in WorldCom worth hundreds of millions of dollars. In order to prevent him from offering substantial blocks of stock, Ebbers convinced the board to grant him the loan (Forbes, 2021). In addition to making blatantly incorrect accounting entries, he launched a vigorous campaign to boost the stock price. Ebbers served as CEO of LDDS, a Mississippi-based
telecom company that served as the foundation of WorldCom. WorldCom expanded to over 80,000 employees through numerous acquisitions of other telecom companies, emerging as the clear leader in the sector (Sheppard, 2023). WorldCom struggled to keep up with the growth as its accounting practises, computer systems, and consumer service issues grew more complicated as it acquired new businesses, according to industry experts (Sheppard, 2023). Under Ebbers’s leadership, employees of World.com get discouragement at the beginning as he clearly said that the employees need to be performed good only. Though the intention of Ebbers was to encourage
the employees through showing the areas where not only company but also employees get benefitted. The actual fact that the company known as one of the leader telecommunication company in the industry but people believes that Ebbers was lacking in holding efficient leadership so that the company’s position was get hindered. 5
As CEO, Kozlowski received praise for taking calculated risks that led to the company's rapid expansion. Tyco's size was quickly increased by him through a series of strategic mergers and acquisitions. He closed 88 deals totalling more than $15 billion in his first six years as CEO (Ethics Unwrapped (2023). A thriving economy supported Tyco's strong growth, and the company routinely outperformed Wall Street expectations, driving up the stock price. The business, however, started to have trouble when the economy slowed down. Dennis Kozlowski successfully ran Tyco for the first few years of his tenure as CEO, but later on, he was accused of
a crime for misusing company funds (Forbes, 2021). In his early years as CEO, Dennis Kozlowski led Tyco with efficiency, but he eventually faced criminal charges. In an effort to turn around Yahoo's ailing business, Thompson was named CEO in 2012. However, he quickly proved his leadership skills (Forbes, 2021). A shareholder activist group claimed that Thompson's resume also indicated that he had a degree in computer science in addition to his accounting degree. His only academic background is in accounting.
The CEO Genome project and Covey’s model applied to find the efficiency and gap in these leaders’ leadership. The CEO Genome project initiates different valuable insights into the traits and behaviours of some successful CEOs, Peter Fisk (2019). According to the analysis done for this project, Thompson has both a strong focus on customers and strong operational excellence. According to Covey's model, Thompson could more easily align or articulate his values and goals with the organisation if he was more aware of his ultimate mission or goal. A leader or CEO gets support from their team and other stakeholders after developing a clear plan for business management, as
per the analysis of the CEO Genome project. The project also asserted that effective leaders, including Kozlowski and Bernard John Ebbers, can balance their work and other important priorities while maintaining a laser-like focus on achieving business objectives. When the insights from the CEO Genome project are applied, it can be said that Bernard John Ebbers excelled in execution due to his knowledge and experience in the technological field. According to the project analysis, setbacks are thought to be a necessary component of any changing course of action because both of the leaders are considered to have the adaptive characteristic, which allows them to learn from past mistakes and use them as opportunities to achieve the desired level of growth and success. The Covey model encourages leaders to think about the steps they 6

must take to accomplish the goal. According to Impact Factory (2023), Covey's model also emphasises the value of forming and maintaining solid relationships. A thorough understanding of the key abilities and behaviours of the leaders has been achieved through this integrated illustration and analysis.
3. Task 2
3.1. Role of social media platforms in learning.
John and Yunus, (2021) asserts that social media platforms like YouTube, and Facebook have been used to foster human connections and that students use them to interact with teachers even more productively. This makes it easier for students to understand the pertinent subject matter or course material as well as to share ideas and form groups to work on the activities. According to Al-Samarraie and Saeed (2018), social media is now utilised not only as a simple website but also as a tool for addressing current learning issues and advancing knowledge. By using YouTube
, students can better connect with their subjects, access information, and find the assistance they need online (web.asu. 2023). As a result, it is believed that social media integration into the classroom will revolutionise education and will benefit students more when used for productive purposes like watching video lectures, quizzes, and participating in group discussions. With the aid of LinkedIn
, students can interact with professionals in their particular fields of interest, support their course enrolment, join groups, and learn about current events, trends, and news (usnews. 2023). Google Docs
is a different social media platform where users can create presentations, and spreadsheets in real-time that they can edit, and share based on their
educational needs.
3.2. Critical evaluation of the ability in use of social media platforms to ensure learning for professional development.
According to Life Goals Mag. (2016), one of the fundamental elements of digital technology that
can be viewed as the global digital communication platform is social media. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn. People now use social media platforms for a wide range of activities in both their personal and professional lives. Social media platforms have demonstrated
their ability to address the issues of the digital age when used for professional purposes and within the frameworks of professional development (Forbes, 2017). As per Krishna et al.,
(2022),
One of the most well-liked social media platforms for business networking is LinkedIn, which 7
allows students to connect with professors and other students. This places a focus on communication and can help preserve a professional reputation through disseminating different reports. Another important platform is Twitter, which is used for question-and-answer sessions, getting the latest news, and learning more about people by following their interests (The New York Times, 2023). It is possible to think of a learner's contribution in this context as their professional engagement in networking with the larger community.
4. TASK 3
4.1. Self-assessment analysis through the use of Personal SWOT analysis and Ryff’s assessment test to measure the areas need improvement in personal effectiveness.
I can make a thorough analysis of my strengths, weaknesses, and potential opportunities and threats by conducting a personal SWOT analysis and using Ryff's six-factor test.
Strengths
Control over the decisions, actions in life is one of my strengths.
Strong believe and idea about right and wrong is one of my strengths.
My ability to follow formal policies and procedures is another area of my strength.
I do believe in self-discipline and follow strict routine at my personal and professional space.
My care about others' success is another strong point of mine.
Listening to other’s opinion before putting mine is another strength
Weakness
I don’t have required focus on the required effort I need to make
in something which weakens my performance.
Sometimes I am not open towards new experiences which weaken my learning regime.
I am not enough competent that whenever I listen some task, I am not motivated enough that I can actively to work on this.
8
Opportunitie
s
I have expertise and skills about the interpretation of data which
can be used as the opportunity to be applied in the major concern without jumping into the conclusion.
My concern about taking decision over the careful analysis help me to get opportunity in professional development.
I prioritize everyday work and success through hard work and honest work engagement which can be used as an opportunity for my development.
Threats
I sometimes feel irritated with people who are in rush over something where I need control over my emotion as it can threaten relationship, trust and my work performance.
Being isolated sometimes effect relationship with others at workplace and also threaten growth prospect.
The areas of my personal effectiveness that require improvement have been identified using Ryff's Six-Factor test. I gave myself a mediocrely low score of 2, or self-acceptance. Given my poor performance, it's likely that I don't always feel confident in myself, which makes me depressed and stressed. I occasionally experience low confidence as a result of dissatisfaction with my performance or quality, according to this indicator. I gave myself a 3 on the autonomy scale, which is a moderately high score and indicates that I can resist peer pressure. I have the right to select my own beliefs. I can decide for myself by evaluating my own standards rather than relying on others. I got a 4, which is a good score and demonstrates that I have the intelligence to exert control over the things happening around me. This implies that I am able to make the most of my
opportunities and positively impact others. I got a 4, which is a high score, for having good relationships with other people. This suggests that I have the ability to establish strong, dependable bonds with other people. This suggests that I am able to have good relationships with
other people, to empathise with them, and to understand the reciprocal nature of relationships. 9

On the indicator for my purpose in life, I received a 3, which is regarded as a moderately high score. This core suggests that I feel as though my life has meaning and purpose, that I have a clear set of goals that I can achieve, and that I am optimistic about the future. I have scored 4 in personal growth point, which is higher, suggests that I am enthusiastic about new experiences and that I can see them as opportunities for improvement. This highly rated indicator additionally
demonstrates that, based on my skills and experiences, I am able to recognise the necessary advancement and improvement.
4.2. Self-assessment analysis how social media platforms can be used in a professional environment
Since social media platforms are known to change over time, it is imperative to keep up with their evolution. Considering that I scored on Ryff's test for self-acceptance with a moderately low
result. One of the most popular social media sites and a popular social networking site, Facebook
attracts users with moderately low self-esteem and confidence, like me. This platform has the potential to exacerbate my problem by encouraging further distorted self-acceptance in addition to facilitating connections with others. By sharing my knowledge and experience with others, I can learn more about who I am, and I can also appreciate how important it is to spread that knowledge to the rest of the world. I can make a positive difference to increase my confidence for a better future by talking with a few businesspeople, mentors, teachers, and knowledgeable people. 5. Conclusion
The study's finding is that improving one's personal effectiveness improves a number of life skills, such as productivity, goal-setting, and time management. Due to the fact that I can use social media to further both my personal and professional objectives, it has a big impact on my life. Because they've assisted me in determining the areas where I need to improve and the ones where I should concentrate on upholding for long-term success, I've included the use of social media platforms like Google Docs, LinkedIn, and YouTube, in this report.
