MAR026-1 A2 Assessment Introduction This report seeks to create an employability plan. I am creating employability plan for various reasons. Firstly, the employability plan will help me to determine the skills that will be required in my job. It will help me to determine areas that need development. It is a tool that will guide me for my career growth as I can use it to assessment my progression in career development ( Quinlan & Renninger, 2022). The employability plan will help me assess my strengths so that I can know the strengths that can help me in my career. I plan to create an employability plan by taking an online assessment to determine areas for development and areas that I have enough confidence that I have attained them. MAR026-1 A2 Assessment Which core skills do I need to plan to develop? Core skill 1: Self-Awareness I need to be aware of myself as I work alone and as I work with others. This includes being aware of my emotions and how they can affect the people that I work with. It also includes being aware of my abilities and the roles that I hold effectively. Core skill 2: Interviews & Offers I need to develop confidence in answering common interview questions and how to take interviews in general. I also need to develop how I can negotiate job offers after interviews. Core skill 3: Career Possibilities I need to have a good understanding of the career options that I need to take.

MAR026-1 A2 Assessment Week 7: Week 8: Week 9: Plan for Week 7 : I plan to read books and articles to develop core skills that are required in my career. I plan to use articles on emotional intelligence skills such as reading Goleman’s theory to develop self-awareness. I will also use career-builder. Review of Week 7: (Opportunity for reflection) I completed a career builder survey and found that I need to develop self-awareness. There are various articles that explain career awareness. This core skill on the career builder has a program of learning and I will using the program linked to self-awareness to improve it. Plan for Week 8: I will complete digital commitment tasks. This will be a crucial skill in enhancing my digital skills that I will use both in school and in my future employment. I will use the career builder to complete various digital commitment tasks. Review of Week 8: (Opportunity for Reflection) I successfully completed various digital commitment tasks in week 8. This enhanced my digital skills. Digitalisation is a key technological factors that has been driving change in the workplace. I will use the digital skills that I developed in completed tasks for my job. This will ensure that I perform in my job. Plan for Week 9: The plan for Week 9 related to lesson activities, specifically learning in groups with others. I plan to work with others to discuss the concepts that have been learnt in class. This will be a crucial activity that will help me to enhance my emotional intelligence and teamwork abilities. Review of Week 9: (opportunity for reflection) I worked as part of the team to learn various concepts and digital skills required in the workplace. I learnt how to work as part of a team and how I can relate with others as we work in a team. I also learnt that I should understand my emotions as I work with other people ( Makkar & Basu, 2019 ).

MAR026-1 A2 Assessment Week 10: Identify (discuss for higher grade) some challenges that you have faced I can attest that I faced various challenges in my learning. One of the challenges that I faced was completing digital tasks. I used the career builder on my student account to I had challenges navigating to the site. Secondly, writing various tasks have been a challenge. I had to research and learn writing skills to enhance my writing skills and attain a higher grade. Thirdly, I had a challenge when approaching academic support team for help. I had no confidence when approach the team at first. Confidence Check Point 1 (Opportunity for Reflection – refer to a reflective model for higher grade) Plan for Week 10: The activity that I plan for this week is to prepare a video presentation that will be presented. The presentation will be recorded in PowerPoint and a voice over will be produced on the presentation. It will be a crucial activity that will enhance my presentation skills. Review of Week 10: I prepared a presentation and I feel that this presentation enhanced both my communication and presentation skills. I will use this skills in my future job. I will communicate well with colleagues in my job. I will also present ideas to investors using the presentation skills that I developed ( Jardim, 2021 ). Using Schon’s model of reflection, this checkpoint reflects on how I enhanced my confidence skills. I approached various members of staff to get academic support. This experience enhanced my confidence skills. I will use my confidence skills to enhance my employability. I will be approaching various members of the organizations that will employ me so that we can solve the challenges of the organization as a team.

(Refer to the suggestions from Career Builder) (Action plan - Higher grades only) Core Skill Action Timeline Impact Self-Awareness Read various books and articles on self- awareness and emotional intelligence. 2 months This will enhance my emotional intelligence in workplace Interviews and offers I will watch online videos on how to answer interview questions and negotiate offers. 3 months I will develop confidence in answering common interview questions and how to take interviews in general. I will develop a skill of negotiating job offers after interviews. Career Possibilities I will read articles on career options available in my field of study. 1 month I will have good understanding of the career options that I need to take. I researched in career opportunities that are available after graduation and identified more than five career paths that I can take. I started creating connections with people working in the careers that I take. This experience enhanced my career networking abilities. I know various areas where I can get employment.
