UAE is one of the significant markets in term of automobile industry that have almost all the major car manufacturer showrooms located in UAE. According to Amna Puri (2020), the sale of passenger car sold by Toyota motors in 2019 was 149.4 thousand passenger cars with worth 4.2 billion dollar. The reason for discussing Toyota and mentioning it as the metrics to assess the market share of the UAE Market because it is considered market leader in UAE automobile market. Another report suggests that the market share growth of the automobile industry is expect to grow at a pace of CAGR of 6.7% that will be in terms of $8.66 billion by 2023 (Business Wire,2020). Tesla Inc. is currently leading in the global market of EV. According to a McKinney’s report (2020), Tesla is a market leader globally with a market share of 16% with units sold over 370,000 in 2019. The research is conducted in order to assess as to which model of Tesla is been preferred in UAE market. This will involve the performance in the aftermarket of UAE market regarding Tesla Model. The customers of the UAE market will be engaged in order to assess whether Tesla models are popular or not and which model is been preferred by the customers of the UAE market. The research will help understand the customers about Tesla, which models are been offered and preference showed by customers of UAE market. Overview of Industry The Electric Vehicle (EV) market was formed in the last 20 years and recently the phenomena has taken a hold in the market especially due to rise in the trend of the product for products that are green products, sustainable and renewable energy. According to a report, EV market is projected to reach 20 million unit’s sales by the end of the year 2030. The growth rate is CAGR 21.1% which is derived by including the current unit sale that is 3.2 million units in 2019 (Markets and markets,2019). According to another report, UAE EV market under the vision of UAE Vision 2021 that is to encourage the usage of electric car. The CAGR forecasted growth by 2019-2025 is 32.1% (Research and Markets,2019). Impact of Covid-19 was seen on the automobile market that was 45% decreases sales in the financial year of 2020-2021. The EV market saw a 18% decrease sale in the global EV market. As you can see the industry seems to flourishing and projected to grow further in terms of global market as well as UAE market. The growth can be seen that customers are favoring EV cars. Covid-19 factor was a global phenomena that impacted everyone and hence it was included in the study. Page 4 of 7

Research Questions and Research Objectives A research question is basically a foundation core of project, study or review of the literature for research purpose. It is guideline for the research paper which includes selecting methodology and dictating all stages of inquiry, analysis and reporting (John Lewak,2015). Based on the background which includes Electric Vehicle market, Tesla and its offering to the UAE market, after sale performance in the market and global market popularity of EV cars.
