Business and objectives My business has the main objective of selling products on amazon. I started this business in March this year after a long documentation on how this type of business works. At the moment things are going well, I have created a strong relationship with UK distributors with whom I collaborate and who offer me products at a good price from which I can make a profit by selling them in my online store. My main objective is to achieve a turnover of £300,000 in sales within a year, which I am very confident will happen.I want in the near future to have my own product to sell on Amazon and also to expand to the warehouse level. 2. Skills and experience In my native country (Romania) I managed a store selling pesticides for 3 years. During all this time I also took care of the online advertising and all the documents for the entry and exit of the goods using the Pharmec program. During these years I managed to bring a very good profit margin. The high school I did was about commerce, that's basically what I know how to do best, also my mother still works in field sales. Feeling the need for something more for myself and for an evolution, I chose to move to the UK in 2020, where I worked in different industries during which, as a part- time job, I sold things on facebook marketplace or ebay. In 2021, I enrolled at Oxford Business College, studying Business Management. Gathering so much information over time, I decided to escalate and fulfill my dream of becoming a successful FBA seller.
3. Target custumers Given the fact that there are all categories of buyers on Amazon, I want to target products more than buyers. This means that my main focus is on products that sell very well in general and seasonal products that people are looking for in certain months of the year. Since I managed to find distributors in several niches, where I have a very good purchase price, I will practice the WHOLESALE business model where I will sell products for all age and gender categories, in this way I will ensure continuous sales, which means a growing profit. 4. Market and Competition Every month, the traffic on Amazon is between 400-500 million people, which means that the chances of the products being sold are extremely high, of course there are also products that sell hard or not at all, but I will not talk about them. Depending on the products I choose to sell, I also analyze my competitors and after an analysis using different programs such as JoungleScout and Hellium 10, I choose whether or not to sell
that product. The biggest competitor for those who practice this business model is Amazon itself, which usually has the best price and always wins the buy-box, for this reason I avoid selling on the same listing as Amazon. However, if I have a product that sells very well and Amazon is also present in the listing, I start a more detailed analysis to see if he agrees to share the buy-box with other sellers. In most of this business, there are several sellers on a listing, FBA or FBM sellers, given the fact that my distributors offer me very good prices, I choose to enter the listing even if there are many sellers, because even if the price decreases for that product, I continue to win the buy-box and stay with a profit. Being an FBA (fulfilment by Amazon) seller, I often choose to sell products sold by FBM (fulfilment by merchant) sellers because they will always have a higher price and a much lower chance of winning the buy box . 5. Marketing and Sales Plan Sales plans are put in a certain order to make sure they get the best results. make a list of the products I intend to purchase. I always aim for the ROI (return of investment) to be greater than 35% because I have to take into account the competition that can lower the price of the product along the way, in this way I have to make sure that I will always win the buy-box, and for this I use Profit Protector Pro, a program that I linked to my amazon account and it changes my price automatically depending on the competitors in such a way as to ensure a good profit and a continuous BUY-BOX. To make sure that a product is sold, I follow the Sales Rank which must be as low as possible, I personally aim for a sales rank lower than 50,000. Even if I choose to sell WHOLESALE, I still target certain niches such as LEGO, REMINGTON and lighting items. I did a recent analysis on a product provided by one of the distributors I work with, a product that has a sales rank of 12,890 and sales of 150-300/pieces every month, I noticed that I have a ROI of 121% and only one seller FBA in the listing, drawing a line on this product and considering the fact that it is possible to share the buy-box with the competition, ensures me a profit of approximately 1,665 pounds per month.
6. Operational Plans At the moment, my amazon business account is managed by me with the help of the accounting firm (DNS) with which I have a contract and which deals with my incoming and outgoing invoices. An advantage over my competition is that I signed up for Automated Invoicing, which means that Amazon provides the buyer with an invoice automatically for each product that I sell. Also, for all the problems I may encounter along the way, I work directly with an Amazon advisor who has full access to my seller account.
