Report
Victoria Caulder Professor Spier BIO 1010L 29 January 2024 This is the Graph I used for the assignment. What is your research question? What factors lead to the higher rate of cheese-related incidents in middle school settings? What is your hypothesis? The higher proportion of cheese-related occurrences in middle school settings could be attributed to adolescents' developmental stage, which is marked by heightened impulsivity and a tendency to participate in unusual behaviors. Furthermore, the school atmosphere may allow for unsupervised contact with food items such as cheese, which increases the risk of mishaps. What methods will you use to test your hypothesis? By conducting observational studies in middle school cafeterias or other relevant settings to observe and document behaviors related to cheese consumption and potential mishaps. What potential confounds could affect how you interpret your data?
Different school cultures and policies on food intake, behavior, and supervision can affect how often events including cheese are held. Differences amongst schools in these domains could confound the outcomes.   What is a follow-up study that you could do to build on the results of your proposed experiment? A follow-up study could examine incident reports for a long period of time and compare the periods before and after the intervention to determine the effect of preventive measures on the frequency and kind of occurrences involving cheese.
