8614539 Dear Mom & Dad, I know you guys haven’t heard from me in a while and are probably wondering what I’ve been up to. Well… I went to space. More specifically, Mars to be exact. Now before you start laughing, this is not a joke. I’m not using any type of metaphor or exaggerating. I really went to Mars. Well, I am still here actually. This was voluntary and not against my will incase you guys were wondering. Now I did not tell anyone I was going to space due to the fact I did not want anyone talking me out of it. As you all know, science has always been my favorite subject in school so it was only right for me to take this opportunity given to me to be able to learn more about our solar system. And from my few days of being here, I have learned so much and have been having a blast! I have made new friends, Linassa, Fabian, and Lerpz. They have helped me explore this beautiful planet and have helped me learn more about our amazing solar system! There is a station that they built on Mars where we all meet up to talk about what we are going to learn for the day. After we talked, we would go underground to complete labs. There are tunnels leading to many different places over here. I will admit, it was a little bit of a challenge remembering where everything was located. I definitely did get lost a couple times and went down the wrong tunnel… and when I say a couple times I mean a few times… maybe 3 times, or 5 times… okay, okay 8 times to be exact. I know, I know. But if you were here, you would get it. I had to use the map a lot of times, but soon enough, I was able to get used to the environment and remember where everything is. A place I visited often was the underground lab. That was where Linassa, Fabian, and Lerpz would teach me new things about the solar system. I actually enjoyed this part of the day because it made complicated information easy to learn. Mainly because it was all educational games and did not feel like a chore. My top two favorite labs had to be the lesson on light, spectroscopy, & telescope and gravity & seasons. For the gravity & seasons lab, I learned about how gravity changes and is different on different plantes in our solar system. I was actually able to experience what different gravity levels feel like for myself. I had to jump from one platform to the next. I would have to determine which gravity amptoshere would be suitable for me to be able to jump high enough to reach the platform. It was really fun. In that lab, I also learned about the different seasons. I was able to see what position the Earth would be in during each season. The sun plays a big factor of what season it is for us. Another one of my favorite labs was the light, spectroscopy, & telescope lab. I was basically learning about how light reflection causes different colors and are a product of waves. You guys now as an artist, I am a color fanatic, so that lab was really fun and interesting for me. I hope telling you guys about my experience here at Mars has eased your minds somewhat. I apolosgize for not teling you before I left. I think about you all everyday and will continue to update you as the days go by. I can’t wait to come back to Earth to see you guys! I Love You!
