DQ 2
At Grand Canyon University, we are devoted to demonstrating the love of Jesus together as we share the
gospel message and shape society according to the principles of His kingdom. As a teacher, your
worldview will often differ from that of your students. Discuss how you might overcome these
differences in your future classroom.
I am a Christian born and raised and I will confess that it has been a few years since I have been
to church with the job I have had and on top of my kids travel sports. But I do not let that cloud
my faith. But when it comes to my classroom, I know that I will need to be imperative to each of
the student’s culture and views. Knowing that is what makes the students who they are, and this
will allow you to be able to be there for them and help them when they need guidance for
schooling. As a teacher gets to know more than just the students get to know their family, the
reason for this is they may have a certain way of doing things due to their culture they may have
issues at home with doing the things that school needs them to do.
