Unit Activity: The Mid- to Late Twentieth Century: Postmodernism
Post Modernism Postmodernism is a movement that rejects logical thinking and traditional ideas. Postmodernism is the opposite of modernism, which is logical and rational thinking. The term was first developed in the 1870s. Postmodernists believe that there is no universal truth. I believe developing a single definition for postmodernism can be complex. People have different understandings of what exactly postmodernism is.
PostModernism To fully understand it, it's important to know what modernism is. Modernism is a logical and rational perspective that views the world as a set of laws that can be followed and worked through by the mind. I've seen many examples of the two, where postmodernism is a bunch of random lines everywhere and modernism is connecting lines. Now onto postmodernism's effect on diversity, as supported by my thesis: postmodernism places the greatest emphasis on diversity and new perspectives. Since postmodernists believe in no truths or limits to ideas, they create various new ideas and ways of life in contrast to traditional ways of living, which does increase diversity. Postmodernists often believe in progress and innovation, so change is wanted.

Advancements In Technology and their effect on literature Next is the subtopic of advances in technology and their effect on literature. Advancements have allowed us to write faster. And also, translators have allowed us to exchange ideas and communicate with those we may not share a language with. It has also allowed ideas to spread faster than ever before; for instance, we can use texts, emails, calling, or just sending a letter; regardless, it is much faster than having to walk to share ideas. The biggest advancements in literature and technology happened during the industrial revolution, all of which had a heavy influence on the transportation of both goods and literature.
