The study conducted used a poll that gather clear evidence that shows that assistance dog
help improve mental health in veterans. The poll was conducted through the participation of
over 200 veterans who were either paired with an assistance dog or were on a waiting list to
receive one. The results showed that the presence of an assistance dog has a significant
positive impact on the overall mental health and quality of life of the veterans. The study
also showed a reduction in symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and
depression among participants with assistance dogs. This scientific research approach is
reliable and consistent with the studies that have been shown the positive impact of
assistance dogs on Mental Health. This study highlights the potential of assistance dogs as a
complimentary tool and supporting veterans mental health therapy.
