Using measurements like mean and median, I used SPSS to calculate central tendency for each variable in the investigation. While the median, as the middle value, is less sensitive to extreme values, the mean, as the average, provides insight into the overall trend. These decisions were taken in order to fully comprehend the distribution of the data. Key components of the primary tendencies of each variable are revealed by the results, which are presented in pertinent SPSS-generated tables, facilitating a more nuanced evaluation of the dataset.Based on the report for “the way I act in my romantic relationship…” the majority of the percent strongly disagreed with that statement therefore believing that the way they act in a relationship IS affected by their religious beliefs or values. The other variable of “significantly influenced…” the majority strongly agreed that their romantic relationship is significantly influenced based on what they believe. CROSSTABS
Because it is a useful tool for assessing categorical data and establishing whether or not there is a significant correlation between two variables, the chi-square test was considered appropriate for testing the hypothesis. The hypothesis for this study called for analyzing the correlation between category variables. We can compare observed and expected frequencies using the chi-square test to see if there are any discrepancies that could not have happened by chance. The chi-square test, when run on our data, produced a statistically significant result (p < 0.05), meaning that there is a significant difference between the observed distribution and the expected distribution in the absence of any link .This suggests that there is a significant correlation between the hypothesis's variables. As a result, we reject the null hypothesis and provide evidence in favor of the notion that the variables under study have a meaningful relationship. This has important ramifications for comprehending the nature of the link and offers insightful information that might guide future studies or useful applications in the relevant field.
