Exploring the pros and cons of pursuing a career in Customer Relations. Depicting the encounters with communication barriers, internal disagreements. I was able to properly Identify the barriers Sally was encountering due to the various scenarios and examples learned during this course. For example when discernment isn’t a part of your decision making, there’s a good chance your conclusion was drawn from opinion or speculation. Sally discernment assisted her in the situations where stress in the workplace is a common barrier.
Additional barriers Sally faces included social pressure, emotional reactions, conformity, self- doubt, and fallacious reasoning. Sallys ability to recognize the barriers and maneuver diligently will allow Sally to successfully solve work related issues. Sally demonstrates er ability to evolve by continuously utilizing her critical thinking skills. Social Pressure and Conformity: Sally initially refrains from expressing her disagreement during the discussion with her colleagues due to the social pressure to conform. She nods along with their viewpoints to avoid confrontation. This barrier highlights the influence of social dynamics on critical thinking. Emotional Reactions: Sally experiences emotional exhaustion and agitation after a long day of addressing customer complaints. This emotional state could potentially hinder her ability to engage in rational thinking. However, she does not let her emotions dictate her actions and instead chooses to address customer concerns effectively. Self-Doubt : When Sally’s manager questions her punctuality in response to her proposal for a warranty change, he attempts to undermine her
argument. Despite this attempt to introduce self- doubt, Sally remains persistent and continues to advocate for her proposal. Her ability to push through self-doubt is a sign of strong critical thinking
