Journal Critque: Building Inclusive Learning Environments 2 Journal Critique: Building Inclusive Learning Enviornments The number of inclusive learning spaces is increasing across the country. Students of all backgrounds, skill levels, and learning preferences can benefit from the assistance they need to succeed in the classroom in inclusive learning environments. In the article "Building inclusive learning environments with 1:1 devices" (2020), it is discussed how giving students access to school-issued devices for academic help can further improve inclusion. Giving each student a gadget can boost their motivation to succeed, their academic engagement, and their participation in class. It can also help them feel included among their classmates. Students of various backgrounds, talents, and learning preferences will do better in school when given academic support via gadgets provided by the institution. Summary The usage of devices provided by the school could promote inclusion and equity for many disabled children across the United States. The general education setting, which is the least restrictive environment, is where students with disabilities may get their education in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (Nieves, 2020). Assistive technology can help these particular pupils maintain their functioning abilities and accessibility to support academic progress and inclusion (Nieves, 2020). Individual school districts provide assistive technology at no cost to the student (Nieves, 2020). Apple iPads or Google Chromebooks are frequently utilized (Nieves, 2020). Analysis It is our responsibility as educators to make ensure every student has the resources they require to succeed. Our pupils are at a disadvantage if they lack a device to access information or achieve academic success. Nieves (2020), on the other hand, spoke specifically to educators
Journal Critque: Building Inclusive Learning Environments 3 concerning how they can make ensure every student can access knowledge and achieve academic success. The author was able to analyze how giving kids gadgets that are provided by the school might improve inclusion and have a beneficial impact on engagement, involvement, and motivation through an extensively researched peer-reviewed study (Nieves, 2020).The author also highlighted a variety of ways that technological aids can be used and how it is advantageous to kids in an essay that effectively promoted inclusion through the use of school- issued gadgets (Nieves, 2020). The author also highlighted a variety of ways that assistive technology can be used and how it is advantageous to kids in an essay that effectively promoted inclusion through the use of school-issued gadgets (Nieves, 2020). The more inclusive classrooms are, and the higher the academic accomplishment, the more equipped instructors are to use and use school-issued technology. Personal Application Giving kids the support, they need is crucial for their success and academic progress. I discovered the majority of families were unaware about technological aids and were unable to purchase gadgets for their children to use to finish tasks after working in educational institutions in South Carolina and Virginia. As a teacher, I can vouch for the fact that many students use school-issued devices to increase their motivation to learn as well as their attendance at class, completion of their assigned homework, collaboration in the classroom, and involvement alongside writing and the process of writing. I am reminded of Philippians 4:19, which states, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus," as many school districts across the United States increase the number of school-issued devices to support their students' academic needs. Teachers will be able to guarantee that every kid is included and has the opportunity to succeed by addressing their individual academic needs.

Journal Critque: Building Inclusive Learning Environments 4 Conclusion The goal of this work was to encourage inclusiveness in the educational setting; it was important that the requirements of students with various backgrounds, aptitudes, and learning preferences be taken into consideration. The use of devices provided by the school is one option to meet the academic demands of students. Many students can feel included in the educational environment thanks to this academic help, which is utilized by numerous school systems around the United States. Although the kind of device used at school may differ from district to district, educators can guarantee proper deployment and utilization. Students will therefore be able to use their school-issued gadgets to achieve academic success and inclusion through proper deployment and utilization.
