Argumentative Essay On College Education The path to success has been remodeled over the years by different generations due to the developing mind. College does educate and challenges people to do more and think more. We can clearly see this example because the developers of this debate are both college graduates. Later on in life more and more questions will be asked and answered. College has an importance that is so popular but that importance has a value. The developing world and society will always view college as something necessary no matter what because is has proved to be a path and a escape to a better life. People that have specific circumstances and cannot pursue college have often been denied of a huge opportunity that can be life changing to almost everyone. No one can judge intelligence based on economical stability or tests, but what the educational system seems to be judging intelligence on is the bank account of the projected student. There is a saying that says "If you think education is expensive, try ignorance." But as technology is constantly advancing and computers are running almost anything, is a college education really necessary? There are people whom have never set foot in a college and are doing better than people who have their master's degree. There are views from both sides that contain a valid argument. A college education helps people and prepares them for the entry into the real world. Students learn what exactly personal freedom is and then they learn how to enjoy freedom in the Get more content on StudyHub.Vip
Online education, while offering clear advantages such as supporting a self–paced learning experience by allowing learning on an on–demand basis rather than a strict class schedule, also has significant drawbacks. Students in an online only course may struggle with structure and content without hands–on instruction, which can help motivate students who otherwise may be distracted or have difficulty working independently. The traditional structure of classroom education is effective, but also comes with a set of obstacles, particularly for nontraditional students. The best way to bridge this gap is hybrid education, which combines technology and personal interaction to support efficiency and self–paced learning while keeping students ...show more content... In order to fully understand the benefits of the hybrid educational model, it is necessary to discuss some of the benefits and flaws of both online and offline education, as successful hybrid education should combine best practices from both disciplines to create a more effective learning environment. Classroom instruction benefits from time–tested success and is still the dominant educational model, but comes with some negatives, particularly in the digital age. One issue that students in traditional classrooms face is attrition due to boredom and lack of relevancy in education. Some education experts believe that the educational system needs to evolve from a traditional style to a more interactive experience. Derek Bok, former Harvard president, believes that education needs to "move from 'a teacher–oriented system featuring lectures delivered to passive audiences' to a 'learner–centered process in which students become more actively involved in their own education'" in order to reach modern students (qtd. in Friedman and Friedman). While not explicitly stated, online or hybrid education could be used to solve this problem, since the student is forced to take an integral role in managing their own learning. Another significant issue in traditional higher education is retention rate. It is possible that online Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Persuasive Essay On Online Education Online education is helping many students get a better education. This can be for many reasons. Some reasons could include things like a more flexible schedule. Of course their are some that believe that online schools are not a good option because they do not offer students face to face time with teachers, but online schools can be a great way to educate the children of tomorrow because it allows for students in rural areas to get the same education as somebody in the city and the flexible nature of online school allows students to have more time to be with their family, friends and to do the activities they love. One of the great things about online education is that it gives students in rural areas the same education as those in large urban areas. This is because of many things but most importantly it is because online systems allow for more courses then a small town would be able to provide (Orgill, Jason, and Douglas Hervey). Having more courses is important because it gives students the opportunity to take deep dives into areas that they are very interested in. This is an opportunity that many students that live in rural areas don't get because there school simply does not have enough students to provide those courses. Giving students in rural areas the same course opportunities as those in urban areas is just one of the reasons online education is so important. Another great thing about online education is that allows student athletes to have enough time with their families while also putting huge amounts of time into training and school. The reason athletes get the time they need is because at an online school "you work at your own pace" And on your own schedule (Snyder, Tom). I know from personal experience being a student athlete in a brick and mortar school is difficult. You wake up early try and finish your homework, then go directly to school. Then after school you go to training and then more training then maybe you go to the gym and then finally you get home and you are so tired you just fall into bed. This is really tough because you get hardly any time to spend with your family and friend. In an online school system you can do your work wherever you are and whenever you have time. Argumentative Essay Do you think you learn at the same rate as your peers? Probably not, and that isn't a bad thing. All schools are different, some big, some small, some in safe neighborhoods, some in dangerous. Do you think that affects the education that the students are receiving? It can, and it will if you don't get the kind of education you need. Education is not equal throughout the country. One major reason is that every school is in a different area. Not all places are safe, there are many schools that are in an area where they do not have money to use on their schools. This causes them to hire less experienced teachers and to renovate their schools less. If the schools are in an area where they do not have a lot of money, that also could mean that the students around them and in their schooling system do not have a lot of money. They may not be able to buy school supplies, pay for lunch, have transportation to school, or get help on homework. These things are not accessible to everyone and that could take a major toll in their education. In one article, it states "As society becomes more complex and schools become ever more institutionalized, education experiences become less directly related to daily life, less a matter of learning in the context of the workday world, and more abstracted from practice, more a matter of distilling, telling, and learning things out of context" ("Education" 1). I can completely agree with this statement because I do not think all teachers take into Get more content on StudyHub.Vip
Argumentative Essay On Special Education Introducation Special Education is a topic of controversy with many advocates fighting for the justice children and adults with special needs so rightfully deserve. With laws being passed and modified so frequently, it is important that the educators being brought into the world have an extensive knowledge of the developmental needs of many different types of children. With this knowledge and their constant measures to keep up to date with the fast–moving world of education , they will be able to deliver an appropriate atmosphere that is in accordance with the law that ensures ethical practices and guidelines are always being followed. Legislative, Thoerietical, Historical Our country's Legislative system has set many laws in place to protect the educational rights of all students, which allows for students to have a greater opportunity for educational success with funding levels varying between the states. Hooper and Umansky's book, Young Children with Special Needs, states that the majority of early childhood intervention programs began under the "umbrella of Maternal and Child Health (MCH)," which was put into place in 1935 in accordance with the Social Security Act. The Americans with Disabilities Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) are two programs stemming from this historical piece of legislation. The Americans with Disabilities Act was an anti–discrimination law that allowed for more students to have access to certain facilities and resources giving them a better chance to succeed in their education. IDEA made it mandatory for the state to provide special education service programs for children between the ages of three and five. The parents with children who are included in IDEA typically receive grants to help them fund their child's education. Another piece of legislation that is widely utilized in classrooms today is the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). This plan develops a plan of action for the family with children that receive special education services and allows the information to further assist the child beyond school grounds. In use today is the Affordable Care Act (2012) that allowed for programs to be funded that look to prevent and care for children Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Argumentative Essay On Arts Education The era of accountability has heavily swayed public schools towards narrowing the curriculum across content and disciplines. Student test scores have become the measure in which states, districts, schools, classrooms, and teachers are deemed "excellent." Also, many schools have been confronted with budget cuts that determine the content offered in schools. Unfortunately, arts programming across the United States' K–12 public education has been minimized and/or not given the proper attention it deserves. To strengthen the argument for arts education, researchers have developed the integration of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to curriculum and lesson planning. I argue that the integration of the arts in classroom curriculum with early childhoods students can provide benefits not only for students but teachers. Arts education centers on allowing both students and teachers to engage in creativity and bring out their multiple intelligence. I recognize four reasons why arts education is a valuable tool with young children: (1) arts can be used across subjects and context (interdisciplinary), (2) it touches on the needs of different learners (multiple intelligence), (3) flexibility that allows creativity in the classroom, and (4) shifts away from traditional methods of rote learning. First, educators need to have a paradigm shift in the idea that arts education is the responsibility of only the art teacher. Fowler (1994) offers that strong schools tend to have strong arts program. Fowler (1994) states, When used well, the arts are the cement that brings all the disparate curricular areas together. In the best schools, this is often the case. The arts are valued for their interdisciplinary potential. The result is a more cohesive curriculum in which students explore relationships across disciplines. . . . the arts in conjunction with other aspects of the curriculum afford students more complete and compelling conceptions. (p. 7) Above, Fowler makes the argument that schools that engage students believe in the importance of arts program because the arts ability to connect across contents. In addition, the arts is a vehicle that teachers can use to enhances a particular content area. For example, Cruz (2009) Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Argumentative Essay On Online Education Infographic In my Infographic, my main claim is still same as the argument I proposed in the Paper 3 which is that online education is beneficial to students and the community. In the headline page, I used dark gray as my background color because I want to give my audience a sense of elegant and solemn feeling when they look on the topic of education. Even though my headline is so simple and just uses two words "Online Education," I employed elaborate design around it. First, I highlighted "Online" with yellow, which would give my audience a direct impression about the emphasis of this topic. Also, the mouse and pencil next to the headline as well as the picture on both sides of the headline crate a vivid image of online courses in the audience's mind before they read the following information. Furthermore, I believe the subtitle just beneath the headline would be persuasive to most of my audience because I used a strong tone in this sentence which said online courses is "the easiest way to learn anything." While some of my audience might doubt this, it also stimulates their interest to read the following information. After the headline, I divided my argument of online education into three sections. In the first part, I talk about the development of online courses. And I use MOOCs as a representative of the growth and improvement of online courses because it was the most popular, wide–used, and recognizable form of online education in recent years. Talking about the topic Get more content on StudyHub.Vip
Persuasive Essay On Education Reform Educational reform is yet to be perfected. Teachers shape the minds of students to realize what their purpose is in life. Lately, because of certain educational reforms, it has been hard for teachers to say what they need to say. "In 40–plus states, the math and English guidelines determine the knowledge students have to master by the end of each grade, what they'll be tested on this year, and in many cases, how teachers and principals will be rated at their jobs once those test scores are released" (Strauss). Most educational reforms are adopting standardized testing and should be reconsidered. Statistics even show that since we have taken part in reforms like No Child Left Behind, Race to the Top, and Common Core State Standards math and reading are declining. These standards tell teachers what to teach and what the students should know by the end of the school year. The reforms also evaluate teacher performance by how well the students learn the information. Some people believe educational reforms should not be telling teachers how to teach their students, and others believe that the reforms are absolutely fine the way they are. However the truth is educational reforms are yet to be perfected. One point of view a person could have about educational reform is that students throughout the country should all have the same high–quality standards. Issues and Controversies states,"All states should adhere to similar academic standards so that American youth are Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Argumentative Essay On Early Education Just think about this one tiny effect. Imagine that you are about to start school at the age of five, and once you arrive you see that kids around you are more prepared, confident, and eager to learn. These young smiley five year old faces don't make you happy. In fact, this makes you depressed, and saddened. Early education, also known as preschool is of vital importance. Preschool or an early educational establishment is a group of people offering early childhood education , before the age five. They offer enriching courses for children, and help prepare them for the transition into elementary school. Children who use the opportunity of an early education have a huge advantage. On the other hand, children who don't enter preschools seem to lack in certain areas, and lag behind. Many children in our country do not attend preschool at the age of three or four, and directly enter kindergarten without the early learning opportunity. This issue of a less advantage situation could eventually lead to a bigger disadvantage when it comes to learning. Many parents aren't willing to send their children to preschool in their early years as it is over expensive and unnecessary for a three year old to enter school. I, on the other hand, disagree with these people. If children learn from early on, there won't be any need to worry about others who have advantages. I believe that early education should be mandatory, and since many people can't afford preschools, public school districts should have their own preschool grade for all younger students. To start off, many students aren't ready yet for the basis of kindergarten as they never finished, or even attended preschool. Attending a preschool gives children an early advantage, and stimulates an early mind. When a child starts their educational journey at the age of three, they get a two year "Head Start," for themselves, compared to kids who have not attended preschool. This early advantage is a physical and significant benefit for them as it helps strengthen the child from early on. According to greatschools.org, "To sustain children's excitement and motivation for learning, high–quality preschool and child care programs introduce early literacy and math skills Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Essay on What Is the Purpose of Education? Getting educated is very important for every person. It goes without saying that each of us has to have a proper education. We learn how to read, count and write. These are the basic abilities we acquire and use during our life. Is there any other purpose of education or it is aimed only at giving us a possibility to communicate our ideas and satisfy basic needs? During centuries, there were different interpretations of the purpose of education . Many scientists, pedagogues and philosophers tried to answer the question: what is the purpose of education? Taking into consideration the needs and tendencies of a modern society, we can assume that the purpose of education is to prepare students to be self–sufficient citizens capable of solving ...show more content... Our education should be aimed at educating people who love the world they lie in and who are ready to become peacemakers and healers of the world (Orr 55). A sustainable society "consists" of citizens, workers, specialists, technicians, etc, who are ready to work in order to build and support such society. One of the ways to provide such education is to "get outdoor". The skills and abilities develop in real world and not in artificial situations in class. In this regard, we may refer to the Plato's "Allegory of the Cave". One should "touch" the real world problems and get personal experience from it. Shadows in the cave are the retrospectives of the real knowledge. To acquire the knowledge, we should leave the "cave". We can learn theory separated from practice and this will not have any result. Instead, we should understand that every individual is a part of the natural world, thus, education should be based on ecological literacy as "health of our planet" is one of the most urgent questions of the modern social community. For many centuries, the principles of the classical education were in the spotlight. The good of the individual, realizing his/her own potential were the purposes of the learning process. Cultural development is the aim of the classical education. It stands above everything, including religion. (Nietzsche, n. p.). Referring to Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" to interpret the classical education in modern society, we can say that Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Argumentative Essay On Public Education Public education in America needs reforms to adjust to today's fast paced, technology based society. "Changing Educational Paradigms Animation" by RSA Animate and "Reinventing Education for the 21st Century" by Tony Wanger, prompted me to wonder how does teaching problem solving and critical thinking skills in schools socially and economically benefit students? Both of these videos touched on critical thinking and problem–solving skills and their importance in educating today's work force, but Tony Wanger blew me away with High Tech High, a Sandiego high, middle, and elementary school dedicated to teaching problem solving skills to a wide range of students (Wanger). This school system was an excellent model of students working on their own to create, utilize problem solving skills, and display their hard work. This gave me the idea that we need to shift our education to focus on critical thinking and problem–solving skills to better benefit students entering the work force. I noticed before even asking myself these questions that the education system was failing many of our students. Looking in the media alone, anyone can clearly see many takes on the US system, whether it be comical, satirical, or just a plain news story about the facts. One satirical take on the current education system that I believe truly captures the essence of today's classrooms is an article by the Onion titled "Negative Parent–Teacher Conference Not Exactly Eye–Opening for Area Mother". The article takes you through the opinions of an "area mother" who just left a parent teacher conference for her son. "I mean, I'm not sure I needed to drive all the way down here for the shocking news that the person that I fight with every single night about doing his homework is getting poor grades." It portrays the clear lack of concern from parents, lack of interesting material in the standards, and the lack of effort from students. Unfortunately, it seems this has become the norm for many students in school systems across our country. I began to look into the history of public education and found out that nationwide public schooling was created during the Industrial Revolution (1820–1860) when the country had a gigantic influx of European Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Persuasive Essay On Early Childhood Education Beggining ones education young, prepares one for the future. Early education has been proven to be beneficial in many aspects throughout life. Children may dread the idea of starting early but in the long run starting early can make a significant difference. Also some may even be ahead of his/her peers in the following years. Early childhood education should be a requirement due to the ability it has to help gain early skills, necessary positive behaviors, and increased brain development. Children dont have to go to a legit child care facility to get an early education. Early childhood education comes in many forms most of the learning starts at home. "Playing with your child helps keep your child engaged in the kind of play where learning occurs. Your interest, questions, and comments as you play alongside will help your child use toys productively,"(How to Support Children's Approaches to Learning?). In saying that children learn best through play based experiences they learn from things they experience or items they can touch and hold. Children learn from the comments thier parents give, they pick up on the little things. Children who don't participate in some type of quality education programs are 50 percent more likely to be placed in special education. Children are also 25 percent more like to dropout of school and are 60 percent more likely to never attend college. 40 percent are more likely to become teen parents ,and finally 70 percent more likely to become a teen parent. Not all children comprehend things at the same level, that's why it is so important to teach them basic skills young so later on throughout life certain tasks will not be so hard for them. Children can also gain life skills just by doing simple things such as working puzzles. While working the puzzles children gain problem solving skills as they try and fit the pieces together and figure out what goes where, it also develops a sense of persistance.(How to Support Children's approach to learning?). Children need to learn the basic skill of problem solving because it is needed for tasks throughout life whether it is a math problem or real life problems. Essay about Business Education Argumentative Draft Formal Education Is the Key to Success The advancement of technology in the last decade has increased the demand for Americans to seek higher and formal education. No longer do we live in the age of manual labor, family owned & operated conveniences, but rather a computerized age. Thirty–years ago job seekers could find stable and secure work that would ensure stability and a prosperous future. Those white collar jobs could be obtained and secured by individuals lacking a formal and/or higher education. Today, blue collar jobs like fast food restaurants, warehouse labor, and/or janitorial services prefer and sometimes require some form of education. Employers have become more ...show more content... Today applicants are equally equipped with resumes, one or more degrees, fluency of languages, and references. Only highest achieved in education distinguishes him or herself from the competing applicants. Education is extremely important for those hoping for success in the twenty–first century . Those without a formal are not completely exempt from success, but without some form of education it will prove to be a difficult climb. Education open doors for those with the desire to enter the corporate world. People without a formal education may find it extremely difficult to compete with those with degrees. Professions like doctors, and lawyers are solely limited to those who have obtained higher education and proven to be skillful. People without higher education can not meet the minimum requirements. Mechanics, janitors, secretaries, and administration may put more emphasis on skills rather than education. Persons having those skills may be more successful than those without. The author, Unger states that "more than 28% of all full–time workers without college degrees earn more than the average without college degrees earn more than the average workers with a bachelors degree from college" (17). This proves that it is not completely impossible for individuals without formal education to be successful. Author John Gatto describes schools as a "body Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Essay about Higher Education Higher education is optional, but to enter a respectable career, one must continue their education in order to achieve his financial and/or personal goals. Teenagers who attend college use their extended schooling to further obtain knowledge. The primary objective of higher education is to enhance one's abilities for his future. A student can learn from school in numerous ways, but liberal education is not a way to attract students into further and higher education. However, students can learn a lot more through experiences that have affected their personal lives. I agree with author Mike Rose 's theory that education needs are reached to obtain a higher academic level by teaching students information that can be related to their personal ...show more content... However, he has not thought about the students who want to attend college and quickly earn their degree so they can start their careers. I disagree with Bloom because he encourages the idea of taking extra irrelevant classes to achieve the experience of education. It usually takes about four years to earn a bachelors degree. There are many courses such as English, math, history, art, etc. that a student must go through before they get to start on the classes that concentrate on their intended major. These basic courses are part of a program called general education. After completing general education (which usually takes about two years), the students can then begin to study for their degree. Colleges should abandon the law of students having to take general education courses because the courses are irrelevant to their field of study, unnecessary and a waste of time. Instead of taking the extra courses, students can simply meet their needs of a degree in a shorter period of time. Also, Bloom not only that wants students to take general education courses, he wants them to further their education by taking advanced irrelevant courses. Therefore, in their future, they would have numerous opportunities for a better career. Because if a job is not right for the student, he would have other choices to obtain a new job. Rose feels students should not learn from the canon books style. Students have an easier time learning when they relate to the Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Argumentative Essay On Online Education Online education is a form of education which is administered and developed through the internet. The transition from Classroom education to online education has been accepted widely by many countries. It is one of the upcoming trends in education sectors all around the World. With improved technologies, it has become easier to learn. As to every topic, there co–exist both supporting and denying arguments in this regard. Online education can be possible anywhere with a mobile, Laptop, Desktop or tab. Just having a stable internet could get you anywhere like getting lectured by a professor from Stanford or MIT. Online education is possible nowadays even for free through websites like Edx, Coursera etc., Online education is like an ocean, no matter how much we learn there will be more. Access is one of the happening things from Online education. The opportunity cost of Online education is very high. The time we spend travelling through these busy roads is cut down entirely. The cost we bear on books, travelling, uniforms, etc., is cut down drastically. Flexible schedules are possible. Online learning creates the ability to study whenever and wherever. Also, it creates flexibility to study around family obligations. Money, Time and Values are important for any living being. While we see that trends are changing, people tend to claim moral values are deteriorating. In some way, most of us want to form loving families, raise our children to be good citizens, stand up for the downtrodden and protect our communities from harm. We still form friendships, business partnerships based on old–fashioned criteria. When our trust is abused or we are unfairly treated, we see that as a major violation of our relationship and we judge the wrongdoer accordingly. Though online education does not provide a mentor like the classroom–based education does, people still inculcate values through the beautiful curriculum and courses such as right life, Happiness, positive living etc., Online education has proved to be one of the greatest boons in today's world. But unfortunately, India is still lacking to accept distance education / Online education as equivalent to classroom education.
