National Honor Society Personal Statement As a freshman at the University of Maryland, I am pursuing a Masters degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Cyber Security. I formerly attended the Academy of Health Sciences at Prince George's Community College, a dual enrollment program in which I graduated with my High school diploma and an Associates of Arts degree in General Studies. Having a unique experience by attending these different school has allowed me to become familiar with technical communication in a multitude of ways, whether it is in the work place or school related. As a child I gave trivial answers like a grocery packer or shoe shiner. My niece, currently six was diagnosed with epilepsy at age three. There were many doctors and specialists that came in and out as they struggled to figure out the reason for her constant collapses. In a room full of unfamiliarity the nurses were able to provide reassurance and make her forget about the machines she was hooked up to and the shots she had to be administered.
