create and publish reports of aboriginal children in care and non-aboriginals, the spending of preventive and care services by childcare agencies and the effectiveness of the various interventions. -
What suggestions have or are being made?
-Suggestions that have been made are that governments of all levels adopt Jordan’s concept, which entails having complete access to all government-
funded services. This idea which applies to aboriginal people not living on the
reserve was only in effect for around half of the population. -

The government of all levels of Canada, The aboriginal people, and every resident of Canada. This encompasses not just those who have been directly affected.

It is definitely doable, and it should have been done a long time ago. -
What are the first steps to take?

the first step to take is for the government of Canada to design parenting programs that are culturally suitable for aboriginal families. Additionally, national standards need to be developed for aboriginal child abduction and custody cases. This would guarantee that aboriginal families are better able to care for their children and that child welfare services are working in the best interest of aboriginal families and children.
