Pseudoarchaeology Spoiler Alert! Nope, It’s Not Aliens. Archaeology is the study of the past (and increasingly the contemporary) through material culture Pseudoarchaeology is any interpretation or explanation about real or alleged phenomena/events/humans that are not supported by the basic logical and evidence-based standards of archaeology. Context is everything in archaeology. If you don’t have good context, for the find and for the date (more on that below), then your explanation is going to be challenging to support. Second, outrageous claims are another red flag – if you click through the website you’ll find statements like “discover what the history books won’t tell you”. This type of language sensationalizes archaeology and suggests that archaeologists a) won’t share the “good” stuff with lay people (because we privilege our own), and b) that we are conspiring to prevent this information from widespread dissemination. Ancient Aliens Mysteries of Ancient Construction History Technology is it logical to suggest that our ancestors did this with pivots and with little ropes and with wooden rollers but just how could ancient man have built such colossal structures were the stones moved by beings with superhuman strength or might the builders at that access to an advanced perhaps alien technology. Many ancient legends suggest that some of the monuments were built with the help of acoustic levitation what the local legend of Stonehenge talks about is that those big stones were transported by way of levitation by none other than Merlin the wizard and he had a magical rod with which he pointed at the stones and they would levitate and position into place. our past there's no way that human beings even a hundred thousand of them could pull these things they've done experiments by putting hands around blocks you can't get enough hands in there you can't get two hundred thousand hands to lift a block did ancient aliens using anti-gravity and sonic levitation technology help early humans build the ancient wonders of the world Ancient Aliens Gods from the Stars you can see in the seal that there's the complete model of the solar system accurately being displayed with the Sun in the center till the time of Copernicus and Galileo no one knew that we orbited the Sun so the only explanation was someone who had this knowledge gave it to humanity and that there has been extraterrestrial presence and interaction with people in the past and we see this across the globe.
throughout the world ancient cultures have told stories of gods descended from specific star systems the Maya associated their gods with the Pleiades star cluster as did the Native Americans hundreds of miles away the Dogon tribe and the ancient Egyptians believed their gods came from the star Sirius in all. is it possible that intelligent beings are inhabiting other planets within our solar system as ancient astronaut theorists contend if so could they have once sought out the earth as we now seek other habitable planets Evidence Ancient Aliens Planned Humanity In addition to what you saw in the videos, what other 'alternative', 'fantastic' claims about the human past have you see or heard about? Please do not give religious stories and explanations because we do not view religious explanations as false narratives. The one “fantastic” claim about the human past could be The Atlantis. Around 9,000 years before his own time, or roughly 11,000 years in today's terms, there was an intelligent and powerful island civilization called Atlantis. According to legend, Atlantis had a strong military, cutting-edge technology, and a thriving society. It was also claimed to be a highly evolved and rich civilization. It was said to be extremely wealthy and in charge of a big empire. “The arrogance and violence of Atlantis, filled with an irrational lust for wealth and power, led to its destruction” ( Geoffrey Giller ). The gods punished the island and its inhabitants, causing a series of disastrous occurrences, such as earthquakes and floods, that caused Atlantis to submerge beneath the ocean in a single day and night. Why are these 'fantastic' or 'alternative' explanations NOT factual and not equal to the scientific explanations? What are their proponent's arguments for their potential legitimacy? What material evidence exists to support these alternative theories? These alternative theories, like the legend of Atlantis, are not acknowledged as true and are not equivalent to scientific explanations for a variety of main reasons. They don't have any empirical data to support their arguments, to start. For instance, there is a glaring lack of physical or archaeological evidence supporting the existence of the highly developed civilization Plato described in the case of Atlantis. Furthermore, the allegations frequently lack geological backing. The quick and catastrophic submergence of an entire island civilization, as portrayed, does not accord with geological data, hence claims that Atlantis sank beneath the water as a result of earthquakes and floods lack strong geological support. Last but not least, these alternative hypotheses frequently lack the rigorous peer review that is a foundational component of scientific credibility. They usually avoid thorough evaluation by subject-matter experts, unlike scientific explanations, and are frequently promoted by people or organizations with a stake in their acceptability. As a result, they are still considered to be on the fringes of scientific
knowledge and are not accepted as credible theories regarding the origins of humanity. “Everything in archaeology is contextual. It will be challenging to support your argument if you lack solid context for the find and the date” ( BIITTNER, THE ARCHAEOLOGY ONE ). What are some potential social, cultural, or economic impacts of these alternative explanations of the human past? Think about who owns these pasts, in terms of the native, indigenous descendant peoples whose cultures these pseudo scientific are usually about. Are these explanations harmless or harmful? Alternative explanations for the origins of humanity may have extensive and complicated social, cultural, and economic effects, particularly on indigenous populations and their traditions. On the one hand, these alternative perspectives may be detrimental, especially if they are used inappropriately or exploit cultural differences. Some alternative narratives might use aspects of indigenous cultures to enhance their own stories, potentially commodifying or capitalizing on these civilizations, which is frequently seen as disrespectful and harmful. Additionally, when indigenous customs and artifacts are commercialized, frequently to the benefit of people or groups outside of these communities, exploitation and economic inequities are exacerbated. On the other hand, there are also advantages to take into account. Through the acknowledgment and protection of their cultural heritage, indigenous tribes can make use of these chances to affirm their ownership of their past and reclaim narratives that have been appropriated or misunderstood. These effects emphasize the necessity for inclusive and equitable conversation and emphasize the value of sensitivity and respect while discussing competing theories concerning the origins of humanity. https://www.discovermagazine.com/planet-earth/where-is-the-lost-city-of- atlantis-and-does-it-even-exist https://anthropologyas.wordpress.com/2017/06/23/pseudoarchaeology-spoiler- alert-nope-its-not-aliens/
