Summary Introduction

Introduction

Remembering faces, especially when you are an eyewitness to a crime, can be a very difficult thing to do. In addition to remembering someone's face, one also must take into account the person's height, weight, and general build, their hairstyle, hair color, and eye color… just to name a few things. In addition, one must remember that by the time you go to identify that person in a lineup, several of these factors may have changed. Research on choosing people in a lineup tells us that the amount of time one spends picking out the perpetrator can tell law enforcement officers a great deal about the accuracy of one's choice.
