To discuss:

The features of the shoulder joint that includes humeral head, glenoid cavity and labrum, five ligaments and four bursae, and the tendons of the biceps brachii and four rotator cuff muscles.

Introduction:

The shoulder joint, also known as glenohumeral joint or humeroscapular joint is formed between the head of the humerus bone and the glenoid cavity of the scapula. The glenohumeral joint is a ball and socket joint where the head of the humerus is ball shaped which fits into the socket of the scapula. This is a type of synovial joint which produces multiple movements like flexion, extension, abduction, and adduction.
