An auditorium has 50 rows of seats . The 1st row has 20 seats and the second row has has 21 seats , the 3rd row has 22 seats and so on , each row having one more seat that the previous row . How many seats are there all together ?
a) write two different expressions for the total number of seats in the auditorium. One expression should use addition; the other should involve multiplications .
b) solve the auditorium problem by evaluating one of the expression in part (a)
