Summary Introduction

Introduction:

A joint is a connecting site where two bones meet together. The knuckle joint is also known as the metacarpophalangeal joint. The metacarpophalangeal joint occurs between the metacarpel bones and proximal phalanges of the fingers. This joint is a condyloid joint having an ovoid articular surface called as condyle that fits into an ellipsoid cavity. The knuckle allows movements such as flexion, extension, adduction and circumduction.
