Introduction:
Ligaments are a short band of dense connective tissue that is usually made of collagen fibers. The function of ligaments is to connect and hold two bones together in the joint. The anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments are also called as cruciform ligaments. The anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments criss-cross each other to appear as X shaped.
