The following research is about the service providers which provide the Platform as a Service (PaaS) for Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google App Engine to create the applications on the cloud.

Let discuss about the Google App Engine PaaS provider for the following,

Operating System and development tools supported by Google App Engine:

• The Google App Engine supports the operating system of Linux (glibc) and Windows.
• The development tools include databases like JPA and JDO and additionally include python frameworks such as cherrypy, Django, flask, web2py, and pyramid.

Scalability:

While compared to other PaaS providers, the Google App Engine provides scalable applications with the help of storing and retrieving the data from document oriented database named as “Google Cloud Datastore”.
