 The joints are classified on the basis of structure and functions. Structural joints are classified into synovial, fibrous, and cartilaginous joints. The joint cavity is the gap between the joining of two bones through the tendons and it is covered by the articular capsule. The viscous fluid present inside the joint cavity is known as the synovial fluid.
