Introduction:
Joints in which fibrous tissue connects the bones are referred to as fibrous joints. Because they prevent any motion between the bones, these joints are also known as fixed or immovable joints. They lack a joint cavity. Collagen fibers make up the fibrous tissue that binds the bones together.
