Introduction:

Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is considered to be the genetic material for almost all the organisms, except for the viruses. It is a double-stranded structure which is responsible to pass on the genes from one generation to another. The double-stranded structure of this molecule is held together by the hydrogen bonds. These bonds are formed between the two complementary base pairs in the two strands, like A with T and G with C. DNA or RNA molecules are made up of nucleotides and these comprise of different components.
